I'm writing this lens to help people find different ways to make a Passive Income over the Internet.
Currently I make about $1,000.00 a month with passive income through my two websites: apply for a credit card and paid surveys. It is not enough money to live off of but it does come in handy to have an extra thousand dollars every month without having to do that much work. If I worked a lot harder I could probably make more money.
To make sure we are all on the same page I'm going to use the definition of passive income from wikipedia;Income from rental property
Royalties from writing a book
Earnings from Network Marketing
Earnings from adsense or internet advertisement on your websites
Since I only have experience making money online I am going to be focusing on that last line from the definition: Earnings from adsense or Internet advertisements.
First let me say there is no way to have a 100% passive income. You have to do some work. Depending on your own computer and Internet experience making a passive income will come easily or difficult.

How I Make a Passive Income
The way I make money is through search engine optimization. My articles and my website pages rank well for their keywords. This gives me pretty much free traffic through search engines like: Google, Yahoo, and MSN.Right now I am averaging about 15,000 page views a month. For some people that might sound like a lot but it isn't really. My websites are pretty small compared to many others. I continue to add more articles and my traffic is increasing.
With the 15,000 page views a month I am making about $1,100.00 to $800.00 a month. The only work I do is updating my site with new content, posting my articles to social bookmarking sites, and writing articles on Squidoo and other article sites. I usually work a couple hours a day to no more than 5 hours a day.
This Doesn't Sound Like a Passive Income
If you read my last paragraph and you are thinking two to five hours a day is too much work and you don't consider that a passive income; let me stop and say that you don't have to work as much as I do and you will still make money.

If you don't want to spend hours a day working on your site you can buy links to your site and pay people to write articles for your site. These are the two biggest time sinks. You can even buy old domains with links to them and then have these domains link to your site. You can save yourself a lot of time by paying others to do the work for you.
It depends on the topic, length, and quality, but you can buy articles for $10.00 to $30.00. Buying links also depends on the quality of the site and can range from a couple dollars to a couple hundred dollars.

Watch The Money Roll In
After you have spent a few months working on your search engine ranking for your site or articles you should see them start to climb in the rankings and hopefully be on the first page. Then you should start to see your traffic pick up. You can make money by having Google Ads. With Google Ads you don't have to do anything extra besides put the code on your site. So it's perfect for passive income.If you are having problems getting your search engine rank up make sure to submit your site to directories, social bookmarking sites, and leave links in your articles.
