The Appeal - This week's Bestseller
The Appeal
- John Grisham's latest book is a mixture of elections ,business, money, verdict, lawsuit... It begins well, gathers steam and finishes abruptly.
It is a good read but nothing exceptional. A 250 pages legal thriller, which could have gone well had it been just 100 pages. Nothing worth mentioning but a food for thought, what it conveys about the connection between law , politics, religion and business.

The plot
inspires thought
Book is based around dumping of chemicals into the water of rural area, people becoming sick and small town firm filing law suit and getting a big verdict. It plots well the big business interference with money. But ends abruptly keeping us guessing. You can feel the Grisham touch at some places but he looses grips most of the time.Still, it is a good read for Grisham fans but I wouldn't blame them if they are disappointed with 'The Appeal
'.
The Message
Well given
