A Comparison Between LSD And Crystal Meth

Ranked #6,800 in Healthy Living, #116,346 overall

The link between lsd side effects and crystal meth addiction may be hard for someone to see. This is because they are two different psychoactive drugs, taken for two different purposes. However, both psychoactive drugs have fatigue as a common factor for different reasons. Another connection between the two is experiencing emotions stronger than normal. The difference here is whether the person needs to take the drug to experience the same emotions again, rather than have it stay with them. This can answer the question of why crystal meth addiction exists and why people use LSD to experience the effects.

One connection between both lsd and crystal meth is the fatigue a person experiences after they take the drug. LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) is a drug that people take to escape from their current world for a period of time up to 5 hours. The brain is stimulated to the point that it causes euphoria and hallucinations of various types. The effects wear off after 8 to 12 hours, and it's really best to sleep it off. However, because of all the brain activity involved the person will feel tired and drained the next day. When the effects wear off, the person will cease experiencing the effects, but can still remember the hallucinations and feeling after the effects have worn off. This can be particularly bad if they have a negative experience. This makes it possible to take the drug now and then, since LSD doesn't need to be taken to sustain the high the person experienced.
The sensations of crystal meth are the same, except crystal meth stimulates the brain to the point that the person using it is able to focus on anything that they're doing as long as the drug is taken. If it wears off, the brain stops experiencing the effects that the person experienced while taking it. Not only do the effects wear off, but the person isn't able to go back and remember the clear focus and energy that they had while on it. This causes a need to keep taking it to keep experiencing the effects. Crystal meth and other amphetamines are used by college students and people in high stress level jobs because of the need for energy. Unfortunately, the dose required to maintain the high increases overtime, causing an addiction to it that is only resolved by going to a rehabilitation center to learn new ways of coping without the drug.

Crystal meth addiction and LSD effects are both experienced because the person using them needs to expand their brain either to experience heightened feelings and hallucinations or to maintain focus and energy when they need it. However LSD is typically taken often only for fun and the effects can be remembered whether the experience was good or bad, while crystal meth is taken continuously to sustain the focus and energy a person needs. Its addictive properties means a person is unable to stop taking it until they seek proper rehabilitation to deal with their stress.
