Music Festivals in EuropeAnother totally fantastic way of combining travel and your love for music and concerts is to plan your holiday around a Music Festival in Europe.:

Let's give you 5 suggestions::

PinkPop Festival is placed in the Netherlands about 134 miles from Amsterdam,: near the city of Heerlen. According to the Guinness Book of Records, it is the oldest annual festival in the world. To avoid overcrowding the tickets have been limited to 60.000. Mark your calender from May 28th to May 31st

The Danish Roskilde Festival started back in the seventies, and now have more than 30 years on its back. This year the band "Muse" is one of the great attractions. The British futuristic rock band are influenced by Queen, U2 and Radiohead, but any resemblance with other bands vanish into thin air when the threesome turn their laser light-show towards distant galaxies. July 1 - July 4

July 15th -18th you could be walking on sunshine at the Benicassim Festival in Spain.: The beautiful setting between the beach and the hills make this festival a one-of-a-kind experience on the shores of the Mediterranean. It is however extremely hot to sleep in a tent in Spain in July, so I recommend booking a hotel.:
Big names this year:The Prodigy, Kasabian, PIL, The Specials, Ian Brown and Dizzee Rascal.

The UK: has many festivals and Reading Festival in Reading is one of them. This year it takes place August 27 - 29. Kings Of Leon, Radiohead and Arctic Monkeys headline this year's festival, alongside a whole host of excellent acts including The Prodigy, Bloc Party, and Kaiser Chiefs.

Bestival Festival on the Isle of Wight Sept 9 - 12 is another UK festival. Besides being generally smaller, there are several qualities that make the Bestival Festival different from most others. The festival are offering a large selection of vegetarian foods; a dressing up tent (One of the festival days are normally a "fancy dress day" ) and a church where people can get married. The Bestival Festival was awarded the Greener Festival Award 2009.
