Chalk markers are a very unique style of marker. Traditional chalk markers have been used for many, many years. Everyone has seen and used them in and out of school. They are made from a soft white, powdery limestone consisting chiefly fossil shells of foraminifers. They produce a nice bold line or mark, but they are very dusty and messy to use.

Erasing traditional chalk markers is easy with the well known and used felt eraser, but each erasing leaves a little residue that builds up over time and requires a major cleaning with special cleaners, depending on the writing surface.
