Toast can be a boring extra to most breakfast times. Here are a few ways to spice up your toast besides just using your basic plain white or whole grain bread.

Dip a pastry brush into your colored milk and gently paint your bread. Feel free to paint anything you would like on to the bread. Make it your own masterpiece. Pretend that you're the world renowned "Breakfast Picasso." Put the painted bread slice into the toaster immediately. Toast and spread with butter or various other condiments. Then enjoy.
If you're interested in making a snack time treat instead of butter top it with marshmallow cream, peanut butter, cream cheese, or jelly. Any combination of these toppings can make for a great snack. Another great topping is thinly sliced bananas or scattered raisins. You can make a face or design with your toppings as well.
A great way to make this fun time healthy is to use fat free spreads and use whole wheat bread that is chocked full of fiber. Fiber is a great natural colon cleanser and does wonders for your digestive system. Another tip for those of you who don't have a toaster is use your oven by heating it to 325 degrees Fahrenheit for a few minutes. Be careful not to burn your toast. As with any food don't let children go unsupervised.
