Internet Marketing - it's about making contact
This is the age of Web 2.0 (and even Web 3.0) Basic static websites just won't cut it anymore.
So what you have to do is find ways to connect with your audience directly. And there are many ways to do that. Here are just two of them:

Twitter is an amazing platform that allows you to build a following at lightning speed. And it allows you to interact with your following as well.
But to use it effectively, you need to have some strategies or routines in place - check regularly for people making contact with you, either through direct messages or through @Name messages. Then respond in a timely manner.
Also read other people's messages and respond. Be a team player, and the team will play with you!

You can also create connections with your own blog. The tool for that is your blog comment section.
Write about interesting topics, and invite your readers to comment and to engage in a discussion with each other.
And voila! You've got contact!

Once you've made contact with your audience, you want to keep in touch, right?
But that won't happen unless...
You get them to give you their email address and you'll follow up with them.
So how do you do that?
You offer them something they might want, maybe a special report, or an audio, or whatever appeals to YOUR audience, in exchange for their email address and permission to follow up with them.
To do that, you'll need two things in place:
1) The "bribe"
2) An autoresponder.
Now what's an autoresponder? It's a tool that combines a data base with an email system that allows you to send out scheduled follow-up emails as well as special broadcast announcements.

What is a joint venture? It sounds really challenging - as if you need to know and collaborate with the big gurus.But that's not necessarily the case. You can start small, and work your way up.
The basics are simply a matter of working together with another online marketer to help each other promote your respective businesses.
At the most basic level, it's a matter of either sending out emails for each other, putting each others free offers on your respective download pages, and paying affiliate commissions.
