A Miracle Tree that can Flourish in the Desert and Still have More Nutritional Value than any Other Botanical on this Planet!

I was introduced to Moringa Oleifera, the Miracle Tree, in the summer of 2007. It was love at first sight.

Why would anyone be interested in a plant that has a healing potential that can possible reverse chronic diseases, neutralize free radicals thereby reducing oxidative damage, and other amazing Miracles?

Who wouldn't want to know a friendly plant that brings proper nutrition to a community that's starving or a populations thats over-fed, over-stimulated, or over-supplemented and still malnurished?

What about the ability to cleanse water that's so invested with disease to a point that you can drink it?

Where this friendly plant survives droughts, extreme heats, floods, sandy or clay soils, grows to be 20 feet tall in one year and still produce fruits!

When the scientist and researchers can prove these great feats of miracles!

How can this all be realistic, you ask?

Well......

Moringa on the Discovery Channel

This was my first glimpse of a Miracle Tree, Moringa, and fell in love!

When an organization like the Discovery Channel puts a documentary together about a plant, you know they have done their research.

Being a Doubting Thomas, I had to find out more. I spend a whole afternoon reading and learning about Moringa.

The more I found out the more unbelievable it became, how a simple tree like Moriinga could have so many uses.

Moringa in the News

When we don't know what we're looking at , we'll miss the rose under our nose!

Have you every noticed that there is a whole world out there that you're not part of, only because you're unaware it's there.

Before I became pregnant with my first baby, I would notice pregnant women but just in passing. When I became pregnant - the whole world revolved around pregnant women, we'd stop and talk to each other, help each other out even when we didn't even know each other, we were connected!

When we bought our new car, it was an import and I'd seen maybe one or two in our city. After about a week with my new car the city was littered with this model. So much for originality.

Moringa has made the news several times......but I believe we've just missed her calling. Now watch and see if you don't read about her. I've set up a Google alert for Moringa and everyday there's been a hit. Who knew!

Daily intake of Ozone Moringa Tea will provide the antioxidant daily which in turn keeps the body healthy by preventing the adverse effect caused due to fat deposition.

What a Doctor sees in Moringa

Dr. Monica Marcu is a Research Fellow at the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland

Here's an article by Dr. Marcu with references from her publications in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology 86(2003) 191-195; Journal of Ethnopharmacology, DOI 10.1016

Researcher Seeks to Increase Moringa Awareness

As a scientist and a pharmacologist interested in nutrition and disease prevention. I believe that now, more than ever, more scientist should be directly involved in the education of the general public on issues related to environment, health and disease prevention.

On this note I am very enthusiastic about my work at various levels with a plant of extraordinary potential - Moringa Oleifera. Moringa is a plant possessing an impressive nutrient profile and numerous therapeutic qualities. For instance. the plant contains hundreds of phytochemicals (plant-specifc substance), nutritional compounds ranging from vitamins and minerals to omega fats and all essential amino acids. We also know it can clean and disinfect water (functioning even better than aluminum sulfate, a standard water flocculant), has antibacterial and antiviral properties, contains powerful antioxidants and anitcancer substance and other important compounds such as cytoinins (zeatin). It also can function as a natural growth stimulant for other plants. Moringa has uses outside of the human health and medical realms - it is a terrific high nutrient feed for animals, it is useful in agro-forestry, and its oil has the potential to be used as a biodiesel fuel. In many ways, Moringa truly appears to be a "Miracle" plant.

Moringa: Food and Medicine

We know that Moringa represents a superior option for battling the effects of malnutrition in improvished ares. in fact, numerous organizations are actively working to further the agriculture and distribution of Moringa within the regions suffering from extreme poverty and hunger. In addition to its rich nutritional qualities, the plant appears to have a tremendous potential in the areas of medicinal use. Traditional cultures in various parts of the world have long used Moringa in their herbal medicine repertoire for ailments ranging from gout to various inflamations and fevers.

Now, mordern research is supporting the traditional medicinal uses of theis remarkable plant. Several dozen studies, most of them animal studies, give us a good idea of its potential. However, there is still an urgent need to further research - especially of human studies - to ascertain the theraputic qualities of Moringa.

So far, scientific findings suggest exciting healing potential for Moringa. It may:
*Relieve mineral and vitamin deficiencies.
*Support a healthy cardivascular system .....
*Promote normal blood-glucose levels.
*Neutralize free radicals and thereby reduce oxidative damages.
Provide excellent support of the body's anit-flammatory mechanisms....

In addition to the above, the research also suggest Moringa is extremely safe, as no reports of toxicity have been issued.

Eating Healthy with Moringa

Now that you've learnt about this Miracle Tree, how do you incorporate it into your diet?

You can't always find Moringa in some stores either fresh or in the frozen section. Moringa goes by many names so you might have to look for a Horseradish plant.

The best way to eat Moringa is in the raw form (fresh). The best person I know who can help you the understanding of Raw Foods is Karen Knowler who is known as The Raw Food Coach. Based in the UK with clients spanning the globe, she has 14 years of personal experience as well as working with thousands of people over the past eight years with a professional role as director of The Fresh Network,

"Going raw is a whole person journey."

A Miracle to Share

Everyone has a story! Everyone loves to hear a story!

Being from Canada, in a part of the world where we have freezing tempatures for a third of the year, Moringa would not survive. To hear the stories of how the bark was used to heal cuts and burns, or the roots boiled for a tea to settle stomach aches or that awful tasting green stuff in a salad to help with nutrition, is fascinating. If you have such a story, I ask from all of us who love the Miracle Tree to please tell us.
