A peek into my closet. The clothes that define me.

A fashion maven I am not! I regret to say that I only own 3 dresses and that they have not been worn for several years which of course means that they are wildly out of style! I think that my aversion for dresses came about during my formative high school years when I was forced to dress up everyday for class. At my school we wore dress pants on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and dresses or skirts on Tuesday and Thursday. Then about once per semester we had a "Jeans Day" when we paid fifty cents (Hey...it was the 80's) to United Way to wear jeans. So now at the age of 39, my wardrobe has become a little more casual, take a look.

All Star Girl

I LOVE my Converse All Stars. They are comfortable, come in a rainbow of colors and I think that they are quite fashionable! I have about 10 pairs and wear them with everything from jeans to Capri pants to shorts!

When I'm not wearing my Converse All Stars I'm in my Birkenstock Sandals. They are perfect for walking for 5 miles or just hanging out with friends. And yes I even wear them with socks on occasion!

Got Boots?

I have exactly one pair of what would be considered "Fashionable" boots. I've worn them twice since I got them and they are not the most comfortable things on the planet. Being 5' 10" I try to avoid heels unless absolutely necessary.

Love those sweaters!

I love the sweater, jeans, Converse sneaker look and could quite possibly spend my entire life in these clothes. I am actually out to change the world view of business attire and recommend that we all "dress down" on a daily basis.

Not only a great David Bowie song, but a great look. I must have over 25 pairs of jeans. Levi's, low riders, black jeans, Capri's, faded jeans, holey jeans....you name it, I've got them. I really love the look of jeans and spend about 99% of my life in them.

    I love the jeans, but not so much the sneaks... For me it's #1 barefoot #2 sandals (comfy flat ones) #3 Docksiders (also comfy, probably with paint on 'em). Fun Lens!

    I too have dresses in my closet that I haven't worn for years (I don't even know if they fit anymore or how they'd look if they do), but I can't bring myself to get rid of them for some reason. Maybe I should have a dress-up session and then donate them all. I'm a casual girl nowadays, myself. Jeans, hiking clothes, hiking boots, sneakers, sweats, shorts and t-shirts. There's still a girly-girl in me, but she doesn't have many occasions to look like one. Anyway, it was fun going through your closet! :)

    It's more fun to be yourself. I usually wear jeans and today I just had a thought of wearing a skirt tomorrow. Another fun lens.

    I think I have some dresses which won't fit and are so old hat, too. But I like trousers, not jeans, my only jeans are pretend ones with elastic in the back (old lady jeans I call them). Great lens idea, Bonnie. Love the silver boots. Gifts left for you.

    Very cool lens. I think that Jessica McClintock dress is cute on you. I picked jammies as my fave because I can bat around the house until noon in my jammies. Drives Jack nuts :-)

    I love this as I am a very casual dresser too. I don't wear sneakers but love my moccasins. I think it is because I was a PE major and teacher and stayed in them all the time. I probably should get back to wearing them. Actually barefoot is my preference.
