All About A Rocket to the Moon
A Rocket to the Moon is the one man musical project of Massachusetts born Nick Santino. Santino started making music under this name back in 2006 and has to date released a couple of EPs and has another EP upcoming on October 14th 2008. Santino's A Rocket to the Moon debut album is eagerly anticipated; Santino may only have been making music under this name since 2006 but already he has built up a huge fan base and been signed by Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen Records.Santino has already toured with a number of his Fueled By Ramen/Decaydance labelmates such as The Cab, This Providence, and Hey Monday, and also is due to tour with Cute Is What We Aim For and Secondhand Serenade this coming winter. He's a hard working artist and this is something that always is displayed in his incredibly busy tour schedule. Never does A Rocket to the Moon seem to stop and always there is plenty on for the wonderful music man that is Nick Santino.
For live shows a couple of other people are brought into the mix in order to strengthen the live sound and add further depth to the music. When recording in the studio you can put a lot of sounds down and don't need to record them all at once, each element can be added separately and as such this gives Nick Santino a chance to work every last detail for himself and create his music alone as the one man music project that is A Rocket to the Moon; on the road however, you've only got one pair of hands and performing alone is always going to provide quite a limited sound. Having a band around him allows for the music to come out far more powerfully and provide for a much more entertaining overall viewing experience than it would be if it was just Nick Santino up there on the stage alone.
A Rocket to the Moon began purely as an experiment, Santino wanted to see what he could achieve on his own and after receiving much positive feedback decided to continue with the experiment and create further music. A Rocket to the Moon has come a long way since its inception in summer 2006, already a lot has been achieved and I'm sure that a lot more still will be achieved in the future for Nick Santino and his Rocket to the Moon project.
Nick Santino has a very pleasant vocal style, and with this fine pop heavy rock sound his music is sure to appeal to many. The music is incredibly approachable and always packed full of fun and piled full of enthusiasm. The sound created here is slick and always has much to offer; be sure to listen to A Rocket to the Moon for an incredibly uplifting and supremely enjoyable listening experience.
