A Tribute to my Late Beloved Father

His loving memories will continually linger and He will always be remembered as a GREAT MAN - RAMONITO SR. RECENTES BARBASO who has fulfilled an extraordinary life.

This lens is dedicated to my dearly beloved father whom cannot read this anymore but somehow I will be able to tell the world how great man he is and to share all his good teachings.

Note: Whatever I will earn from this lens, I will donate it to "Room to Read" Foundation.

In his younger years, He has been a brilliant and active student

Creating great relationships with his mentors and colleagues

As a son, He always remember his parents and bring honor to them

Showing them how important they are... as his mother proudly said, "he is a very good son"

As an eldest brother, he always set a good example to his younger siblings

His undying willingness to help and support them are constant

As a husband, His unwavering love and fidelity for his wife...

have always been a proof of his truelove

Through the years, laughters and joys were always resounding

Countless happiness he brought to their married life...

Giving his wife constant support as much as he can...

Enjoying each moment that they are together...

A ready smile always there to lighten her day

Such an extraordinary man with a happy soul...

To sum up his love life, he has achieved the level of well-bonded relationship in their marital life.

This harmonious relationship made him very well accepted son-in-law to his parent -in-laws.

In his fatherhood, he welcomed joyfully all the glorious wonderful blessings in his life

enjoying the first moment of his being a father to his eldest son

Fairly, he nurtured and expressed equally his affection to all his children.

He has mighty hands that are always ready not to inflict but to protect his children and keep them unharm.

Accepting each difference and uniqueness and cultivating each gift of talents they have

Enjoying each moment of his family life, spending joyfully each of the family member's presence in his life

Nourishing each of these precious lives perpetually. Not stopping even though they have already grown up to what they want to be

So much proud and happy to be a dad of his children

Strengthening them in times of grief

Cheering up and transforming tears into a smile. Certainly, he is one in a million Dad

His generosity and warm heartedness extends even to the broad of his siblings and in-laws

Bringing joys that are not fleeting but lasting joys that make so many good memories. Always he is a great uncle too to all his nieces and nephews

Fortifying family ties either extended or internal relatedness. Indeed he is also a great brother-in-law

As the unified family gaining strength,

he rejoiced as the new member of the family arrived and blessed the wedding of his first child.

From the first grandson to the rest of the grandchildren, his desires to welcome and celebrate new life are much more powerful than the adversity of his health condition.

He overcomes obstacles just to make it possible to be present in the important event of his dear ones and be present on his second child's wedding

Embracing and cuddling their little ones as he showed his warm welcoming for this fabulous gift of his child.

Unchanging gesture of a happy man as he witnessed the second miracle of his second child life though he may not be able to run with them but he has always found ways to make them smile.

As his family continue to grow, he has joyfully witnessed the joys from a marriage bond of his third child

He rejoiced with a great smile from his well-lighted face and warm hugs as his fourth grandchild from his third child arrived. Simply because he is that kind of a loving person and has a welcoming heart.

Reaching out for them though it may not be easy

He has a constant smile and feeling blessed with many miracles in life in spite of his unfavorable condition

A great smile because he has a great family and he is a super grand father

As an extraordinary being, His paralysis did not stop his power to make someone smile - and continue to teach his child to smile again in spite of tragic event.

Help his third child face a new hope of family life and gave his blessings to a new marriage after some years of great loss by the death of her late husband

As he received graciously each new member of the family, he also lives with them tranquilly and as always share them a smile. His joy of fatherhood unfold further as warm hearted father-in-law.

To his youngest beloved daughter, he also reassured her of optimism in this life. Showing fortitude amidst difficult condition and to show a smile inspite of hardship.

Solidifying the spirit of oneness in a family life as the home grown to a happy haven of place

His generosity is not limited even to support members of the house.

He is a great "Sir" or even treating them as his child and they had called him "Daddy" too.

Welcoming everyone with a smile

A family friend or a friend of one family member

Friends from work and other acquaintances, his smile is ready to shine as his warm welcome

Not a single frown was shown with a man who has happy soul

As a happy man,

he is always a good friend wherever he is - either at work or not

As a member in the community,

he has served them with his expertise in architecture and other skills he had learnt to achieve common good - a public servant with a smile

As a devoted Christian,

he started his service to God even at his young age as Sacristan - a priest assistant during Holy Mass

And joined Knight of Columbus which known to be a brotherhood who serves the Roman Catholic Churches

And taught his children how to pray even before the ordeal in his life especially during their younger years

And oftentimes inviting them to hear the Holy Mass... and to pray the Holy Rosary

Always encouraging them to read the Bible

He stood firm to his faith and show a great smile inspite of all the trials and hardship of his health condition

Doing his best part to restore or sustain his health

giving his utmost effort during exercises and therapies

He has the compelling spirit to continue life so he can witness all the glory of family joy

Joining the fun, as much as he can even riding a bamboo raft for a fun ride.

Endlessly singing their love song duet of his beloved wife

Tossing a beer and talking with dear friends

At home or at the sea side, sharing about life with best of friends

Witnessing success and enjoy wonderful creations

Be with the crowd of family clan

Blowing the horns as he thanks the triumphant years and welcomes the new year

Joining family games that brought a collaborative spirit and more fun among the family

Celebrating life with siblings and families

In-laws, nephews and nieces with their little ones

Modelling the children how to smile

These have taught us that as long as we are blessed with life and family, we must always take the chance to smile no matter what

Always count our blessings and you will always have a good reason to smile and be grateful for whatever we have at hand. Always look at the brighter side of life and live life meaningfully

He knows that he cannot cease the time and his time has an end.

He knows that one day he must bravely face the face of death but He has been preparing for it graciously. Even though now, he may be lying to rest his body forever but his memories, spirit and most of all his SMILE will live for eternity

He will always be remembered - as a Great Man

who lived his life extraordinarily and accomplishing all his roles with outstanding qualities.

For his bereaved families and friends,

may we will be comforted with the thoughts that He is joining our Mighty Creator in heaven and someday we will have the grand reunion with him.

Any words are welcome
