This lens will give you all the information about K9United, a social network for dog lovers.
It's because of my own love for dogs that I came across K9 United and I'm a bit hooked.
K9 united has a real facebook feel to it, which I'm grateful for, as familiarity makes me happy, and everything is pretty much laid out the same as facebook :) The site has all of the features you'd expect from a social network like Events, Groups, Online Chat, Blogs and loads more besides.
Like facebook the site is "free and always will be" so I jumped right in and started uploading photos and videos of my beloved cocker spaniels.
Soon after, other members were 'liking' my photos and videos and it was a good feeling to share these photos and videos with other members who love their dogs as much as I do.

I gotta be honest, there is no way that I would upload lots of photos and videos of my dogs to facebook, as most of my friends may not be dog lovers and not quite get the whole bond between me and my dogs, but with K9 United it doesn't matter if I upload a 100 photos of my dogs just sitting there, members on the site would understand why - because I love my dogs and this is a dog network!

Meeting someone on a Dog Social Network?
I noticed that K9united shows your relationship status, a plus I guess, for those single people out there who are looking for a partner who shares their love for dogs.My missus made sure that I set this to "Married"!
But in all seriousness, in my experience of walking my dogs over the fields I meet so many dog owners and the ice breaker is always to talk about our dogs, that's what our dogs are sometimes.... ice breakers.
We then talk about some of the problems we've had with our beloved k9's, how old they are, what they chewed up when they were puppies etc...... you know, DOG TALK!
So in a nutshell, this website is an online version of taking your dog for a walk over the field, you never know what dog people your gonna meet.
Anyway, regardless of your relationship status you're gonna meet people who like dogs, I'm certainly going to use k9 united to organize group dog walks in our area, the missus thinks it would be a good idea to meet new people too, and I don't know what it is but I tent to trust dog owners more??
That's my naivety kicking in thinking that anyone who loves dogs couldn't possibly be bad....
I know, I have a lot to learn!

Another advantage of this dog social network is the fact that it has a forum.
We've all experienced problems with our dogs at some point, god knows I have, and part of the problem is not knowing what to do about it, but on the forum you can post whatever questions you may have about your dog and it will be placed in front of fellow dog lovers that have more than likely experienced the same thing with their dogs and will be well placed to advise. Top stuff

You can blog about your dog, or your dog can blog about you!
K9united has a cool blog feature.Members can write blogs about their dog experiences, give advice on dog welfare, training etc, or use this feature to promote dog related businesses. These blogs will then be crawled by the mighty google, giving members some exposure in the search engine

I haven't' delved into k9united's dog store too much but there's thousands of products for your dog and you will find things here that are unique and different from the average pet store. (Plus a lot cheaper)
I noticed the "powered by Amazon" logo in the top left of the image above, meaning everything here will be provided by the online giant and you get the usual customer reviews and service you'd expect from Amazon all within the K9 united network, so members can browse the latest dog products and read reviews whilst simultaneously chatting to their online friends. Not bad
