Kids can make their own present to show their Love

This is a gift that you can never open....As it is full of Love inside, Is the Best Homemade Gift idea which is a unique and beautiful kids craft activity, helping to teach them about Love. Very easy to make a gift for someone. This was a favourite with the kids in the classroom as an activity near Christmas time.

Nothing is more special than this Special Box they can fill with their love especially made for the ones they love. Help them learn about the meaning of giving and make your own special presents this year.

Whether it be for Christmas present , a birthday, mothers day or fathers day....for any special occasion or person you wish to give the Gift of your Love they can keep close to their heart. Then this special present with a poem about love, is so simple but oh so cute and will mean so much to the recipient.

I also used this as a class activity for the kids. To take home and give to their special someone

Filled with my love

In a box...

Print and laminateI first made this with the help of my mother, a box filled with love, really its filled with confetti, and my mum made us "bless" the confetti with our love, before we sealed the box, with the most beautiful poem attached to it.

And now, 37 years later, and as a family, finding it tough financially this year, and thinking of what to buy family members and friends for Christmas, I decided to show my own daughter who is 10 years old how to make it too, and to share the idea for others in a similar situation.

This was a great acitivity to sit down and complete together, and sometimes when the world is so consumed with computers, technology, iPods...it was lovely to sit at the kitchen table with her, like I used to do with my mother.

The reason that it's special
It's just for you from me
Whenever you are lonely
Or when you're feeling blue
You only have to hold this
gift and know I think of you
You never can unwrap it
Please leave the ribbon tied
Just hold this box close to your heart
It's filled with love inside

How to Make your Present

And fill it with love

Print and laminateWhat you will need:

  1. A4 paper

  2. sticky tape

  3. wrapping paper (appropriate to the occaision)

  4. decorative ribbon

  5. confetti, or even some rice


These items are not essential, Printer, Laminator

Firstly you need to copy the poem above onto a blank text document, or you can handwrite it for an even more personal touch.
Print this off and laminate (this justs helps it to last longer, we never had a printer or laminator in our house as a child)

A Box Filled With Love

So easy to make.....


  1. Fill an empty small box with confetti or rice, even a note wrapped up, anything that can be "blessed with your Love"

  2. Wrap your box in appropriate wrapping paper for the occaision

  3. use a hole punch to allow you to attatch the Poem to the wrapped box.

  4. Tie the ribbon round the Box threading through the Poem, like a tag.

Throughout the years, the amount of certificates, cute notes, and pictures you are given grows, but how many do you loses?
I keep all the special ones, in a folder, and laminate. To keep them in good condition. Having them laminated helps to protect them, and when people come to visit, my goodness they get to see the whole lot, it is a very cheap option and keeps everything neat.
kids love to show off, and this in turn gives them confidence. Rebecca is very proud of her achievements and we are very proud she keeps such a good record of them.

    I love when children made gifts....you know they are made with love and made special just for you. I sat the grandkids down this year and had them make things with the perler beads as well as make cards. It was a lot of fun and a special time for all of us.
