A Squid Angel Tells it like it is

I think I speak for most of the other Angels when I say that the first thing we look for is to see that you change ALL Default module titles. As far as I am concerned, when you don't do this, it is just as if you have scraped your fingernails all the way down a chalkboard. No kidding, especially if you are asking for an angel blessing - PLEASE have changed the default titles.

I look for personal content. Even if it is a business lens, I want to see a glimpse of the lensmaster in that lens. No copy/pasting from your sales page, no SELL-SELL-SELL aura resonating from the lens. I am an affiliate marketer too, so I know that is your objective, but use a little tact, would ya? If it is a personal lens about something you love, I want to see that love shine through. Pictures, personal stories and more should fill that lens so that I "get involved" with what you are writing about.

Links should actually be linked. That is why we add HTML even if it is only basic HTML. If you don't know how, Glen (N376) has a great tutorial on Basic HTML I came across one of the best "first lenses" I'd ever seen just tonight while checking the newest lenses. It was extremely detailed and had great resources and fabulous pictures. I wanted so badly to bless that lens. I didn't only because of the many helpful resources given, none of them were directly linked. They had used no HTML. Please make your links clickable. It is very easy to do. (I did leave him a comment though and told him I'd check back!)

You may think I'm being rather harsh with my criteria, but this is why I don't bless lenses with the basics missing; If you go to the SquidU Forums you can find a wealth of information on how to do anything. If you can't find something, ask. People who have been around Squidoo for a while are very helpful and you will get an answer to your question, but look first! If you know how to go to the forums to ask for a blessing, then you know how to look for basic information. To help you out, I have included below a list of extremely helpful lenses for you to read if you want your lens blessed.
