A valentine romance

Valentines day, a day that is only remembered for showing and sharing the love between people as they present gifts and wine and dine their hearts desire with the most splendid assortments of finely cooked food, the finest tasting wines, blissfully soft loving music and a moments true expression of love in the most perfect moment that it becomes embedded in time and cannot be removed regardless of the events that will follow.

For Scott and Keera this was exactly how their moment was during the full dark of the night on February 14th as their love was displayed to each other in the most intimate way possible. As the flames of black and red candles flickered away melting their waxy bodies, two lovers laid on a bed draped with crimson satin linen embracing each others naked flesh with the others. On a small table was the remains of a romantic meal for two, partially eaten spaghetti and meatballs with tomato and basil sauce, the aromatic flavours lingered in the air presenting the passion and love that went into the couples' Italian banquet.

It was obvious that love and passion had filled the apartment that evening as a small decorative vase that had been holding three different coloured roses and two white peacock feathers had been knocked over from the centre of the table and to the hard wooden ground. A trail of rose petals had been randomly scattered across the floor and as they led towards the double bed and a variety of clothing that took over the delicately soft decor.

Lacy Pink Champaign lingerie hung off of the bed side cabinet after it had been thrown there in a heated moment avoiding the candles that continued to flicker, burn and melt away slowly, captivating the moment in their uncaring desire for time.

On the other night stand was a home made heart shaped box which only contained the remains of the flakes that once covered the chocolate truffles that the cardboard container was home to only hours before.
Underneath the box were a pristinely folded piece of paper and several photographs of the peaceful pair.

A sudden flash brightened the room as a rubber covered hand picked up the folded letter and opened it up to inspect the writing.

Dear Friends and Family
We write this to you all, the ones who did not understand and did not believe. The time we have been together was short and even though we expressed our feelings clearly not a single one of you took us seriously and did not show the support of truly caring people.
It is for this reason we have taken each others lives forgivingly, with true love and commitment in our hearts for each other.

It was clear to us that our only happiness would come if we were to be free hence why we chose this path, chose our freedom from all of the resisting parties and corrupting voices of this world.
Fear not as we consented to this and we are happy with our decisions and so we can truly be together for eternity our final moments in this existence were spent with each other in true bliss so our souls can go together into the next world.

Remember to be free and to love willingly and openly as you will receive the same in return and you will experience a freedom for your soul.

The hand folded the letter again and placed it in a transparent plastic folder labelled evidence.
Scott and Keera only wished to love truly and freely, however; with their families and friends against their perfectly pure passion and true love for each other they chose to separate their entwined souls from their mortal shells so they could walk freely into a world beyond and experience the eternal kiss of true love.
