Good Ol' Honest Abe
Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States, serving from 1861 to 1865 ... and was the first president from the Republican Party. Today, he is best known for ending slavery and preserving the Union through his supervision of the Federal forces during the American Civil War. This lens is meant to be a constantly updated tribute to the life of Honest Abe.

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation (ALPLF) is a private, not-for-profit organization whose primary mission is to support the exhibits and programs of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum (ALPLM), headquarted in Springfield, Illinois.
The ALPLM will not only preserve history-it will make history by enabling millions of visitors from around the world to experience the Lincoln story in its entirety, as nowhere else. With your help, we can introduce people of all ages-but especially the young-to what has been called "The Great American Story."

- Curt, Great lens on Abraham Lincoln. As an Illinois native it brings back lots of memories of visiting the state capitol. I also enjoyed your lens on America's Restaurants. Made me hungry!
