Both are girl rock bands/singers. Hayley said that she dies a little bit inside every time someone says that she looks like Avril, or something like that. So there's obviously a bit of a rivalry going on. I read it in BRAVO magazine I think.

I love Paramore, and I also like some of Avril's music as well (still LOVE "Complicated"). But I understand where Hayley is coming from. It's annoying to ALWAYS be compared to someone else, regardless of whether you like them or not. People like to be recognized for their own talents and efforts. Paramore and Avril, while both pop-rock, don't have the same style of pop-rock, and they're miles apart when it comes to lyrical skills (Paramore writer better lyrics in my opinion.) So I don't think there is much to compare.

"The six months of recording, writing, and producing this album has been a creative experience," she says of The Best Damn Thing (in stores now). Avril's first album Let Go, released in 2002 when she was only 17, sold 16 million copies worldwide. It spawned such hits as "Complicated" and "Sk8r Boy." Her follow-up Under My Skin would prove to be cohesive and dark, but would not sell as much as her previous work. "I sort of explored a more vulnerable side in that record." When asked about label mate Kelly Clarkson's struggle, Lavigne says "She sold millions of records.

- Avril Lavigne's 4th album meant to be released betwen the 14th and 17th November this year.
We do not have many details, but it's been informed that it will be enterily produced by her husband, Deryck Whibley.
Second fragance (Black Star Branch P&G) will probably be released by early September, along with the very first single of this new record.
Avril is NOT working in studio yet.
