Betta fish (betta sp) is one of the much-loved ornamental fish. This fish is a fresh water fish, that many have encountered in some countries of Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam. This fish has a unique shape and have characters tend to be aggressive in defending its territory. These fish also have a variety of colors. like red, purple, blue, white, etc.
Betta fish including species easily maintained, one of the strong fish survive for an extreme conditions, for the examples, when the fish is placed in a container with a minimum volume of water and without any air circulation equipment (aerator), these fish can be survive. And The food also was not too special for betta fish.
Betta fish is generally divided into three categories, betta fish ornamental, betta fish for fight, and wild betta fish. When the contest, these fish were given some extra treatments, like extra food and special doping to strengthen the body color of the betta fish in quarantine.

How to maintain
Basicly for maintain this fish is not too complicated, like using water filters or aerator, what you need is a simply or large aquarium and feed regularly. To note are:
1. Keep the water always clean, and change the water above 3-4 days. Discard half the water tank and then replace with new water (this essential for betta fish health, colors & mental) note: use precipitated water that has been one night stands, do not use water straight from the tap.
2. Provide regular feed, 2 times a day (morning & evening), natural food is better and also not to fast making a water dirty.
Tip: Always maintain the Ph balance.
