I saw Conway Twitty perform in 1975 and then again in 1988. He performed well. He was and still is the best performer I have ever seen. He died 1 month after my Mom, She loved him and I believe he has been singing to her in Heaven. I miss him. God Bless his family.

We recently watched a show about Conway Twitty's will and the mess that was left behind when he passed away. He was very talented, but not so lucky in love.

I wasn't a huge fan of Conway Twitty, but I love the video of him and Sam Moore singing Rainy Night In Georgia from the album Country Rhythm & Blues, the emotion they both put into the recording is self evident. He is definitely missed by a lot of people.

Harold was visiting his sister who lived across the street. He ask me to go to the free fair which was going on in a town called Franklinton. He told me that he was there to ask a buddy who was in the Army with him to join him in forming a band. I don't know the name of the young man. I've seen Conway in my home town, what a great show. For a short guy he can beller out those tunes. He became my idol around the time when Slow Hand had hit the charts,I've been following his career since then. Miss his music miss the man who sings those tunes, to bad he didn't get any personal awards for his music.

Conway Twitty, like the ol' mississippi he continues to keep rollin on and being great in passing..you never need to hear his name mentioned when a song starts you recognize his voice, style and music. The good lord needed him in a duet with one of his tenors. He is missed, I listened to him since the 60's. Haggard knew him and respected him so I hear. Its only make believe has been one of hundreds of CT's that I liked. House on ol' lonesome road, don 't take it away. On and on what a list.

JohnRussell: That song is on the album "Lost In The Feeling" (1983), which I unfortunately can't find on CD right now. But, I did locate the tune on iTunes, and put the module just above this guest book.

I was never much of a country (& western) fan but after getting more mature; I have an appreciation for it and bluegrass. Of course, living in Nashville, TN and meeting a few of the "stars" helped too.

Basil: I can not find a recording of or reference to "Hello Darlin' " being done as a duet. Above I added the closest thing - Conway singing the song to Loretta for a special.
