Confession to the squidoo community

megabu717's feather
The truth is that writing is not my the strongest point.

This is general - in my own language, in English and in other languages I happen to learn.
As far I can go with my memory my essays had always just "passed" marks. The literature and language teachers comments were pretty much the same: Interesting and good concept but pure sentence order and spelling mistakes.

I have got tendency to write too long sentences and use thinking shortcuts at the same time. The outcomes of that mixture are sometimes hmm..surprising.

With sentiments I recall particularly one department meeting when one of my work college was reading loudly my text. All the other fellows including director and myself were laughing till tears. We beg her to stop it. The more funny is that I have been employed originally to that company as a writer. Obviously they have discovered quickly I can't write well but the digits like me.
I remained there for the other job but occasionally had to produce some texts as well.

Actually I don't know what it is, but I don't bother much the words or sentences on it's own. I give attention to the information they carry. It's sort of like dual layers disk, but my optical disk is failed and it sees just one layer. ;)

I'm pictures reader. When I was small I only took in my hands the books which had the pictures in it and I only cared to watch that books not really read them. I didn't like reading for a very long time what was the reason of worry of my parents. Not that
I could not read I just didn't like reading and especially loudly. In schools primary and secondary instead of reading the full studding literature books I just went over the read made briefs for those "lazy" one like me.
However that disease effected only literature books the other subject I study detailed troughs. Perhaps it may have something to do with the sort of "untouchable" literature fiction versus solid facts and logic?
In fact this lens made me to do the research and Dyslexia sounds like my case.

I started liking books reading when I came across some interesting to me.
I have discovered then how pleasure it can be and relaxing especially when was on holidays and the sound of the sea was just next to me.

Unfortunately currently I don't have time to get relaxed with the book in hand though
I enjoy reading short squidoo lenses as good night stories to pillow. Though I'm fairly new on squidoo I have already developed some addition to it. Every day I tell myself - today I will go sleep early I have to get up early to come with the responsibilities and work flow - and every day I go to sleep late, like today again. :)

Hanging here around at the moment I'm getting faster ideas for the new lenses then actually I can produce them. As a single parent of a two and other load of "things"
I have quite limited time to open a laptop at all not mentioning writing something .
I will keep adding as per the possibilities.

Other moment of fun with the Swan

young megabu717Behind seven rivers, behind seven lakes there lived a young Swan who was missing one but important feather in it's wing.

The gap in the wing was effecting Swan's fly by causing sometimes weird and funny acrobatics at the moments when the Swan expected it at least. The young Swan really wanted to fly so beautiful like the rest of the flock.

One day Swan got lucky as found the feather. Looked at it carefully and tried it on. Yes it was definitely the Swan's missing feather. The Bird got very excited, but didn't know how to place it back permanently. Swan tried many things even super glue but it didn't work. The feather kept falling out.

Worried but still hopeful fellow went thus to masters of taking into the air for the solution to this problem.

They listen carefully and announced:
~Yes, there is one remedy. You need to take this feather and use it as a pen to write few good articles but they must be good one. Once you complete, the feather will get itself on it's place and you will be able to fly properly.

Swan never wrote anything so got scared to death and asked:
~What? Few..? and Good?.. and Articles? No way! Oh, I'm so miserable, I will never fly properly. How on the earth I'm going to accomplish this task?

The masters said :

I'm an expert writer, but not famous. I have the most valuable advice you will ever receive on writing. Here it is:

Writing is the same as saying. If you have something important to say, say it. If you have nothing important to say, don't say it. You've done well today. Very fine lens. Important means, what do people need to hear? Your swan analogies will stay with me a long time. I needed to hear it. Thank you.
