Rice Cooker

A few days ago my wife bought just ricecooker because the old has broken. Actually, just 7 months ago we bought it. Maybe this is the effect of frequent power outages a occurred in my city. Ricecooker is needed in my family (and perhaps the entire family ^__^), because my family, all works, resulting need for this practical tool for daily necessities.

How it Works ?

How rice cookers heat up the inside just as well as iron. The heat generated from an element that converts electrical energy into heat energy. In principle, exactly the same as a used in irons, or electric water heaters. Rice cooker works by heating water to boiling. The heat will distributed into the pan where the rice and water placed. Water will evaporate at a temperature of 100 Celsius. In these temparatur evaporate all the water will run out. So, just when the water in the pan was gone, the rice was cooked.

At the bottom of rice cooker there were a thermostat. Thermostat will detect whether water has reached boiling point, or not. When the water has reached boiling point (100C), rice cooker keep for a while (let all water evaporates), then reduce temperature to around 60 Celsius, so the temperature inside the pot, will hold to warm the rice in it.

According to Wikipedia, a pioneer in producing rice cooker, is Japan in the 60s. Because many people in Japan a works all day, they need a practical way of cooking rice and quick. Wash rice, put into the pan (the part in a rice cooker), give the appropriate dose of water, put into a rice cooker, plug the plug into the power outlet ... fine. Wait about 20 minutes, the rice was cooked. More efficient and faster, than conventional cooking rice.
