The People Behind Squidoo (Well, some of them)
Squidoo is the world's most popular site for people who want to build a page about their passions. And it isn't just about business and making money. Sure we all have lenses directing folks to our websites or online stores, or simply to earn royalties, but there are so many great lenses on Squidoo. From informative and how to lenses, to where to buy stuff. And don't forget those that make us laugh or sing along!
Squidoo launched in October 2005. It is a platform designed to make it easy for anyone, for free, to set up a single page on a topic he or she knows or cares a lot about. Squidoo came out of beta testing in March 2006.
Squidoo was founded by author, speaker, and notable blogger Seth Godin. On Godin's founding team was his book editor Megan Casey, Fast Company employee Heath Row, Corey Brown, and Gil Hildebrand, Jr.
According to Alexa, Squidoo's traffic has grown more than 40% monthly beginning in the spring of 2007. It is now in the top 500 of all websites tracked worldwide.

Original Squid
Squidoo was started by the Original Squid, Seth Godin. Nearly ten years ago, Seth founded Yoyodyne, which originated the idea of permission marketing online. After Yoyodyne was acquired by Yahoo, he served as VP Direct Marketing for Yahoo for about a year. In 2000, Godin focused full-time on his career as an acclaimed public speaker, an author and a blogger. Seven of Seth's books have been bestsellers somewhere around the world, and his blog has been picked as the best business blog by several leading publications.Seth's head is the most recognizable author icon in business.

Everyone once in awhile, Gil drops by one of my lenses and leaves a nice comment! Thanks Gil, I really appreciate that you take the time out to do this.... and I feel so spezzzzzial! Kimberly Dawn Wells
Community Organizer
Kimberly Dawn Wells, is one busy Squidette! She recently became the Community Organizer for Squidoo, which keeps her focused on building the community by bringing in new lensmasters, developing new ideas, and supporting new opportunities.Part of her job is also the Editor of the SquidU Review. And with all that she does, you will often see Kimberly (that's with ONE e), or Kimmy or Berly (but never Kim), leaving guestbook entries on our lenses and posting on SquidU.
She is an author, a geeksquid who wrote Security Word Thesaurus (one of my favorites, as I always gigglegag when I see 'em), avid lensographer, fellow redhead (yes we do have more fun), and a volunteer firefighter too!Kimberly sure is one positive influence on Squidoo!

thefluffanutta aka Mr. Fluff
King of Lensmaster Tools
thefluffanutta is a Software Engineer who lives in England, he builds websites as a hobby, has created a few lenses on Squidoo, often posts on SquidU, has developed many lensmaster tools, best known for his SquidUtils and also some contracting work for Squidoo HQ.He's always around in many places, offering guidance, tips and answering our questions.
Thanks Mr. Fluff, we really do appreciate all your hard work!
Editors note: I wonder if he minds me calling him Mr. Fluff? LOL
Glen aka N376
SquidU Mod and Lensroll.com Founder
Glen is the SquidU Mod (that's short for Moderator folks) and founder of Lensroll.com, where the cream rises to the top. He is always swimming around the forums to keep a close squideye on us. We usually behave, if not, then our sea creature powers may be revoked! * gasp *
He always has an encouraging word and the answer to our questions. And when we need it, wraps a tentacle around us and points us in the right direction. You've seen him around, don't you recognize him? LOL.So who's Glen? Well, quoting directly from Glen himself, "Glen likes to write. If it's something that he hasn't already enjoyed or experienced in life if you so much as throw a topic at him and if he finds it even mildly interesting he'll research it until his fingers cramp up and his eyes are fatigued. He'll chew it up and spit it out like quality cud. For some that might be disgusting, but for others with a taste for the offbeat and whimsical it's like stumbling on a vein of gold."
Although best known for his Basic HTML for Squidoo and Advanced HTML for Squidoo, he has written some excellent "How To" lenses, along with an assortment of others. The funniest one I saw was Fold your shirt in 2 Seconds. And no Glen, I still can't do it!
