Modern Art Dog Prints

I have always loved having dogs as pets. Growing up we mainly had Labradors, black, yellow and brown. Each one was very special and holds a place in my heart, just like others who have loved and lost pets.
Today we have a Shelty, Dachshund and a Chihuahua that are part of the family. Even though the Shelty is the larger dog, the Dach rules the roost.

A painting is a great reminder of that fun spirit and time we shared together. Photographs are also wonderful to have, and now we're able to put them on canvas to make a treasured reminder of our family dogs/pets to hang on the wall. We can also find that spirit in abstract paintings that have that energy and vibe that speaks to you.

Dogs have their own personalities or behaviors, some less desirable than others, but none the less we love them like family. We put up with messes and accidents as if it were our child and we're teaching them manners. Sometimes I wonder who's really in control here, but seriously, dogs make our lives full of suprises and joy.

How Adorable Are Those Eyes

The Humane Society appointed Burns as their artist-in-residence after he was kind and donated portions of his sales to shelters. This is one in a series of shelter animals that Burns has painted, both cats and dogs. He starts out each piece with the eyes and gives each piece it's own personality and life. His vivid use of color helps add to the emotion of the piece.
