Acer AS5560-Sb613 Review

Sometimes people buy laptops for performance and sometimes they buy laptop for style. Many people think that they have to choose between style and performance when they're making their final purchase decisions, but with the Acer AS5560-Sb613 and its commitment to performance, practicality and style, you can be assured that your money went to the right place.

I have had this Acer AS5560-Sb613 laptop for a week now and I can't say enough great thing about it. I have a desktop pc that is sporting a Phenom x6 and is overclocked to around 3.8 Ghz and this Acer AS5560-Sb613 laptop keeps up with my destop with no problem. I am a graphic designer and use Photoshop and Corel Draw along with a few other 3D modeling applications and am pleasantly surprised at this laptop's ability to open and manipulate complex graphics with ease.

I have a program called CPUID that monitors the individual CPU frequencies and temperatures. The specs from AMD for the CPU say that it overclocks a single core to 2.4 Ghz on high demand, but I have found that is actually will overclock as many as 2 cores to 2.4 Ghz under heavy loads and then immediately will downclock to 900 Mhz to save battery life and reduce core temperatures. It does it all without missing a beat!! The graphics are very snappy and robust.
I'm also amazed at the battery life. I get around 3 to 4 hours off my battery, but you need to condition your battery by fully charging it and running it completely down till it powers down completely. Do this 3 times and your battery will be conditioned very well and have a great life cycle. I always make sure to charge the battery to 100% then unplug it till it runs out.
