    The Acer I own is Acer Travelmate 5742 with Inter Core
    Great laptop, the only thing is that it only has one speaker, but in fou can miss stereo sound it;s a great laptop

    My Acer Aspire 1680 is 9 years old and...apart from not separating words readily,,,it's still great! I work as a translator, don't use it for fun. I have been considering a Sony Vaio but almost feel too guilty to change:-)

    That's impressive to be still using the same computer after 9 years ... I understand it's difficult to make a change after getting used to a certain model for so long.

    I have been Acer user for over 10 years. I like their laptops and would definitely recommend them to all wanting to get a great and powerful computer at a modest price. The only issue I had with my currently 4th Acer Aspire was the after warranty service. In the Czech Republic (Europe), where I live it takes quite a long time to get the laptop repaired. I had to wait for 5 weeks before getting mine repaired. But it was three years ago so maybe they now changed their rules.
