Garden Composting Just Got Easier
Going Green with the Achla Spinning Composter is an excellent way to start. This Composter holds 7 cubic feet and will compost material very quickly into rich garden compost, faster then using traditional "non-traditional" stationary composers. The reason is the easy to use and turn spinning system that allows you to quickly rotate the contents inside the composters, keeping them free from being compacted and oxygenated which results is faster composting.Easy to set up and easy to maintain, makes this composter and excellent choice for those gardeners serious about going green and minimizing the waste going into our landfills. The advantage of a spinning composter as opposed to a traditional one is the spinning action, as already mentioned this results in faster composting, why? Because most of us forget to get out the pitch fork and manually turn over the composted wasted in a regular bin..so in the end just being able to turn the bin makes not only for faster compost but also less work in the garden.

User Comments -I came across turning, tumbling, and spinning composters and selected the Achla Spinning Composter. I transferred the stuff I had been tossing in a trash can (in hopes of the "magic" happening) into this composter. Wow! One week later, and it looks and smells wonderful! It still has a ways to go, and I still have more learning to do on the subject, but this composter has made the job very easy--almost not a "job" at all!

Reader Comments - "This was a fun book about the little creepy crawlers! It gives a very solid scientific introduction to the little critters and answers most of your basic questions about worms. The focus of the book has to with vermiculture--the use of worms for developing super-rich compost material for organic gardens. Vermicompost is without a doubt the best composting material available for organic gardeners, and setting up your own vermicomposting bin is the best way to get yourself some of this richly organic fertilizer."
Norpro 94 Stainless-Steel Composter Keeper
Perfect for the Lazy Composter
As silly and lazy as that sounds, it's true. I bet we all have been guilty about thinking that way when it comes to composting our scraps..Well here is a great solution. A mini keeper that allows you to fill it up, saving you many many trips back to the composting bin. Once the keeper is full then you can take it back to the composter. Making a composting keeper a great easy solution for those lazy composters like myself, who don't want to make a trip every day for a few scraps, instead fill the keeper up..then empty, it.

User Comments - Although this appears to be nothing more than an expensive stainless steel bucket, it is perfect for my kitchen scrap storage. The filter really does keep the odor from my kitchen. I find it can hold about a week's worth of scraps..a great time saver for those who like composting.

- I've never had a spinning composter, just a couple of piles surrounded by concrete blocks on three sides. I then turn the piles by hand, with a shovel or pitchfork. It's always worked really well, but a spinner would be nice. My neighbors across the way have one, although I don't think it's one of these. Anyhow, nicely done lens.
