Christmas In July

Christmas Gift Proceeds Will Go Tor Your Favorite Chairty

New York vocalist, actor , director Dick Pyatt and DPP Productions have released a new compact disc, entitled "A Christmas Gift," featuring the song, A Christmas Gift, the title of the CD. Written by composer Al Petrone for his musical Love's A Song. Its melodic line and inspirational message of love as a gift for Christmas promises to be on every one's must have music list for the season.
Maybe on the list where Berlin's White Christmas has been for past decades. Petrone's style fits in with the classic standards but with an unmistakable contemporary sound.
Dick Pyatt renders the song with exquisite tone and nuance with a wide vocal range, and an artistic awareness for the lyrical message
The CD offers, as well, traditional songs by noted composers including Irving Berlin, Sammy Cahn, and Kurt Weill. .Another distinctive feature of this CD is the inclusion of the Jewish holy songs, Eli, Eli and Kol Nidre and the religious Ave Maria. Few popular music singers, if any, attempt to bring a dramatic and emotional rendering of these traditional songs. Pyatt brings a poignant touch to the performance singing them in Latin, German and Hebrew. This is one of the highlights on the CD as they are seldom performed in a secular music environment.
Included in this collection are traditional Christmas favorites such as, Oh Christmas Tree, White Christmas, and Christmas Waltz. Expanding the spirit of Christmas to go beyond the usual commercial CD, Pyatt includes songs of deep faith such as I Believe and Bless This House.
"I took time to carefully select songs that would be appropriate to the season and to the need for feelings that inspire and give deeper meaning to our lives." I find it is difficult to locate new music for vocalists today that evoke the same quality and feelings as those of the masters,. said Pyatt.
Pyatt's artistic style and rich baritone voice has been described by audiences as unique and a distinctly different sound on the popular music scene but reminiscent of the panorama of great vocalists that include the voices of Dick Haymes, Vic Damone, and of course, Frank Sinatra. The music is arranged and produced by the talented musician Robin Foreman.
A native New Yorker splitting time in Florida, Pyatt , somewhat of a renaissance man, has been a favorite radio personality for over 20 years in New York City as producer and director of programming for WNYC-AM-FM radio and host of a weekly radio feature at WFAS in Westchester, New York. On stage, he has directed noted actresses Susan Strasberg and Ruth Warrick in classic drama. As a writer, he has published three books on health and medical advances. He has also been on the faculty of numerous colleges in New York including Pace University, Elizabeth Seton College and Iona College in New York teaching speech and media.

What Price Success?

Yes, You Can Get Whatever You Want

Dear Friends,

I hope you feel the spring in the air. In the midst of
the storm or the sweet calm of evening there I AM.
We are living at a time in history filled with promise
and hope as well as apparent chaos and difficulty.
It is increasingly important for us to remember that
wherever thou are there I AM. It is increasingly important
to maintain a spiritual practice and center ourselves in Love.
All that is going on around us need not penetrate us;
it is not the Truth of who we are.

It is nice to chat with you in this way and to talk about
this seemingly elusive subject of "getting what you
want" in your every day life and affairs; and that is
what I should like to try to explain. HOW TO GET WHAT
YOU WANT while here in this earth plane of mortal
being in your karmic evolution. The ability to get and
enjoy whatever you may desire is merely a matter of
Knowledge of, and correct conformity to, the
Magic Laws of Nature; for to KNOW the Law and live
it is to abide in a veritable kingdom of "heaven" of
your own making. That condition of well-being
we call "heaven" is a state of Consciousness which
reflects into the affairs of our everyday life. Moreover,
nobody but you can get what you want for you, promises,
assurances and threats to the contrary notwithstanding.

Nearly everybody is, in some measure, seeking that
intangible and enjoyable condition of being we commonly
call "Success" which I maintain is the easiest attainment
imaginable, when rightly understood.

After all, what is Success? What do you mean when
you think of one who is, or has attained Success? Most
people think of Success in terms of riches, or position,
or title, or other tangible evidence of accomplishment.
Few persons have any idea of the real meaning of the
term "Success: I submit for your consideration that true
Success is the effect or result of one's ability to Be or
Become, Do, and Have whatever is desired; in other words,
the ability to GET WHAT YOU WANT.

He or she who has acquired riches is not always a Success
. Sometimes the humble loot maker is a greater Success
than is the industrial giant. Success for one may mean
something quite different from what another may call Success.
In any event, any degree of success, in any avenue of
endeavor, is the effect, or result, of the Right conscious
attitude, as has been demonstrated by every man and
woman who has ever been acclaimed a Success.

I repeat, the Secret of Success lies in our maintaining a
healthy, positive mental attitude. A negative, destructive
conscious attitude harbors fear and worry which only
leads to failure and distressing consequences. I am sure
you have heard the statement, "there is nothing to fear
but fear itself." Fear shuts us down. It literally blocks our
connection with the Infinite Omnipresence from which
all blessings flow. There is One Universal Mind which
we all use This Mind is Divine Intelligence, Infinite Knowing
and is available to us if we but keep our attention on the good.

Where our attention goes, energy flows and results happen.
Our thoughts (that is our beliefs, attitudes and emotions) are
powerful and will produce results. Think of disaster and you
will create disaster. Think loss, you will create loss. Think
new opportunity and you will create new opportunities.

The world in which "we live and move and have our being" is a
world of illusion. For we and all about us are but the
reflections of the eternal verities of the Infinite
Omnipresence. We are like so many " cups of water" reflecting
the "Light of The World" which is innately and inherently
WITHIN us because of our spiritual at one-ment with The
Infinite Omnipresence.

Success, you see, is NEVER a matter of material acquisition,
but rather, of spiritual Understanding and expression in Thought.
We keep these little "cups of water, which we call conscious mind,
powerful and effective for Good by Right Thinking.

Hopefully these few thoughts have been interesting to you
and I will continue in my next message with the next step
in the road to success.

Best wishes,
Richard
