Acid Reflux Help
In this lens I want to explain some natural treatments for acid reflux, recommend some foods to stop acid reflux, as well as recommend an e-book that I found extremely helpful.
Cure Acid Reflux with Natural Treatments
There are many reasons why people are now opting for natural rather than prescribed treatments to help relieve the symptoms associated with this condition. The main one of these being that natural treatments are unlikely to cause any unwanted side effects on the person using them. However, if you are going to be using any of these kinds of treatments then you need to discuss the matter with your doctor first.
In addition, should you find that at any stage you begin to start with other symptoms or health problems whilst taking them such as a cough, you feel hoarse in the morning or you need to clear your throat on a regular basis. Again, it is advisable that you seek medical attention, as these may be symptoms associated with silent acid reflux.
There are many different herbal and natural remedies that one can now use for treating acid reflux. Certainly, herbs such as chamomile, meadowsweet, cancer bush, fennel, catnip, ginger root, angelica root and gentian root have proved to be effective. But so have aloe and also slippery elm as well.
In fact, slippery elm has been used for centuries not only as a way of treating acid reflux but other digestive and stomach complaints also. Also, you will find that many people years ago would use fennel and ginger root as a way of helping to relieve the symptoms associated with indigestion.
However, where aloe vera juice is concerned there is no scientific evidence at present to show how effective this natural treatment is. Yet even so, for many centuries in Europe, people have been using it as a way of treating heartburn. Normally with this treatment, you will be required to drink a quarter of a cup of the juice about 20 minutes before each meal in order for it to be effective at preventing the symptoms of acid reflux.
For many centuries, people have used the above-mentioned treatments on their own. However, today many modern herbalists have found that combining some of them together makes them even more effective at treating this particular stomach condition. But it is important to note that unfortunately these kinds of treatments will not provide you with long-term relief from your condition. The only real way that this can be achieved is through making changes to your diet and lifestyle.
As mentioned, there are plenty of different kinds of Acid Reflux Natural Treatments one may try. But it is still important that you advise your doctor of what you are considering taking and ensure that you attend them for regular checkups.
Acid Reflux and Diet
Best Food to Stop Acid Reflux
Therefore, it is important for the person when developing a new diet not only do they need to start eating the right kinds of foods. But also, they need to stick with the new diet if they want to prevent their condition from becoming any worse. In the beginning, you may find this somewhat difficult, as you are not actually sure what foods are causing the problems in the first place. A good thing to do is actually start keeping a diary showing what you have eaten and when and what kind of reaction your stomach had to them. But sometimes the reactions you have may not be as a result of acid reflux, but because you are in fact having an allergic reaction to what you have just eaten.
In order to get the right diet in place you will first need to actually find out what foods may be causing the symptoms that you are suffering from. Once you have identified these foods, it is at this stage you can then start to eliminate them from your diet and which will help in reducing the symptoms you are feeling.
It is also important that as you make changes to your diet you ensure that you avoid foods that have high acid content in them. If you can try to find foods, which have high levels of alkaline instead. This can be especially difficult if you happen to be somewhat of a fussy eater, but by persevering with your new diet, it will bring the necessary changes and hopefully a new lease of life for you.
Also rather than sticking to your processed foods try and eat as many freshly prepared meals as possible. Processed foods are likely to contain ingredients, which in fact can exacerbate the condition rather than improve it. Therefore, you need to start increasing your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables, such as apples, bananas, carrots, broccoli, peas and green beans are ideal.
Along with eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables your new diet should contain good amounts of whole grains and good lean meat in it as well. Both of these kinds of foods are ideal for helping to main a healthy digestive system and keeping the level of acid in your stomach balanced properly.
Although you may need to make some changes to your diet, you will find that you do not need to give up everything that you enjoy eating. Some people with acid reflux find that they continue eating chocolate without it having any effect on them. However, there are others who will have to eliminate such foods from their diet completely. This is why you should watch carefully what it is you eat and the effect that it has on your stomach and your acid reflux.
When it does come down to knowing what foods to eat with acid reflux, there are plenty of sites on the internet today that can offer you advice and information regarding these. Plus knowing what are the right foods you should be eating should also help you to gain control over your condition and help you to lead a more normal kind of life in the future.

Does Vinegar Treat Acid Reflux?
Plus a lot of people are preferring to use natural remedies over these types of medications simply because they are far less expensive. Below we take a look at just why people are thinking about using vinegar as a way of treating their acid reflux problem.
But even though you will find plenty of stories on the internet at acid reflux forums where people are describing the success they have with using vinegar to treat it. Yet, there are plenty of people who will think how can this be so as vinegar is acidic and therefore rather than improving the problem it should be exacerbating the acid reflux further.
There are some people who have found this treatment effective because rather than their stomachs producing too much acid it is not producing enough. When this happens the stomach finds it difficult to digest the food that a person has eaten and what is left over is provided with a space where it can ferment. As fermentation takes place so there is an increase in acidity levels and this in turn results in acid reflux occurring.
However, by adding vinegar (preferably apple cider vinegar) it can help a person's stomach to then digest the food properly. Once this occurs then the chances of an attack of acid reflux occurring is greatly reduced. But although it seems to work as yet there is no hard scientific evidence to prove this is the case.
What apple cider vinegar actually does is that it mimics the levels of acid that would normally be found in your stomach. This then results in the food that you have eaten being correctly digested and absorbed by your body.
Before you actually start using vinegar to treat your acid reflux the first thing you should do is discuss the matter with your doctor. If they agree to you using this method then you need to take 1 tablespoon before each meal that you eat. You may find that within 3 days of starting this course of treatment you start to feel some relief from your acid reflux symptoms. Also if you continue to use it then you may find that within 3 to 9 months of starting the treatment your symptoms will disappear completely.
However, it is important to note that although quite a large number of people have found this course of treatment effective. There are plenty of others who have tried the acid reflux and vinegar method only to see no good results whatsoever, and in a few cases it has exacerbated the problem for them.

Great Resource!
Review of Heart Burn No More
In my opinion, the best e book on the internet for a natural and safe treatment of acid reflux and heartburn is Heart Burn No More by Jeff Martin. Jeff is a leading researcher and health consultant in the United States, and he has written the definitive guide to defeating acid reflux and heartburn forever.
The e book is very easy to read yet full of unique information and the latest research. The treatment itself is very simple and does not require a major change to the way you will eat. Plus, the cure does not run the risk of side effects, does not cost money, and is silly it is so simple.
Within two days of buying the book, I felt relief from a 10 year run of persistent acid reflux and it has not returned for over 12 months now.
I highly recommend the book, go over to Heart Burn No More to read more about what Jeff has included in his book and the special offer he has included with the book.

Your cures usually involve products you are selling. You never mention kefir or kombucha as natural cures for Acid Reflux.

Good job on covering the many aspects of acid reflux, especially with covering the importance of an "alkaline" body. More people need to understand the importance your pH plays in your overall health. Acid reflux is just one of those areas.
