Acne Treatments

There are so many treatments out there on the market today, that is has to be hard to try and find the one that will work best for you. Consulting a doctor is really the first step you need to make. Everyone will come at you saying that their acne treatment, is the best acne treatment out there. But do not be fooled. Not all acne treatments work the same nor have the same active ingredients.

You need to do a little research first. If you feel the need, bring your questions and concerns to your doctor. If you see an ad on tv or an article in the paper jot it down, or cut it out and bring it in to get an opinion. If you do not feel like going through the hassle of finding a doctor and your suffering is minimal, you may want to just pick up a acne treatment off the shelf of a local store and if you still have questions, present them to the pharmacist on duty.

You can not watch television now a days without seeing as least ten commercials for "best acne treatment". I am sure every one of us sees a "Proactiv" commercial at least once a day. Proactiv is proven to work, even on the worst cases, but every one is different, and every body reacts different to the medication. You can use the trial by error method and just see which one works best for you. Some cleansers will dry out your skin, making it even worse. Some will over moisturize and the skin can become oily and clogged.

Off brand acne treatments can work just as well as the well known brands such as noxzema or aveeno. It all depends on what is right for the individual. Some may experience the oily buildup where as some just have the under the skin blemishes.

Consulting a doctor is the fastest way to get your skin problems cleared up and ready to face the world with confidence. The perfect skin can make the best and most lasting first impression that you have ever dreamed of.

Review: Neutrogena Acne Stress 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Control Treatment

In the video I mention "benzaclin" when I meant benzoyl peroxide. I really have been out of the acne care loop for a while, sorry for the mix-up. My main concern was to look for a spot treatment with salicylic acid versus the benzyl peroxide which dries me out! :(
