Helpful hints on what acne skin products to use during summer.
Summer is a very exciting time in every year. The weather is warm, the days are long. But,summertime can bring us oily skin, blackheads and breakouts. With a few changes in your skin,
you can keep your skin looking and feeling great every summer with the help of acne skin products. Here are some easy steps to
follow.
1. CONTROL OIL.
The heat of the summer can cause our oil glands to work overtime. You can control
oiliness by washing your face with a foaming cleanser at least twice daily. If your
skin gets exceptionally oily, you can do a mid-day cleansing too.
But dont get into the habit of cleansing too often. Once a day cleansing may be all
the skin can tolerate. Cleansing too often can breakdown the skin's protective barrier,
causing excessive dryness and will irritate and could worsen your problem.
Some Dermatologist advise letting the cleanser stay on the skin for a few seconds
before rinsing it with water. You can also try an oil-absorbing clay mask a few times
per week.
2. LIGHTEN UP YOUR MOISTURIZER.
If you were using a more emollient during the cold days of the year, summer is an ideal
time to lighten up your moisturizer. You will find out that your dont need a heavy mois-
turizer during summertime. Always remember that moisturizing lotions are much lighter
than creams.
3. SUNSCREEN DAILY.
Many medications can make your skin a bit more sensitive to the sun. A regular use of
sunscreen can help you. No one wants a bad burn or sun-damaged skin. Tanning is not
usually healthy for the skin. Some causes sun damage and premature aging, and puts you
at risk for skin cancer.
4. SHOWER AFTER SWEATING.
Sweat cab irritate acne as well. So shower after working out or after you have been sweating.
It is wise to choose a body wash with salicylic acid ir you are prone with blackheads,
or benzoyl peroxide if you get inflamed acne or pimples. There are also good over-the-
counter ingredients such as sulfur and resorcinol. By washing away sweat as soon as
possible can help you reduce the severeness of breakouts in your skin.
Most likely during hot and humid days, you may be more prone to a form of acne called acne mechanica.
It develops when the skin is subjected to excess heat, as well as friction or rubbing of cloth, athletic
equipment, etc. Always wear breathable cotton in summer instead of synthetic fabrics.
