Steam For Acne - Does Steaming the Face Help Acne?
steam acne treatments...
The main benefit of using steam is that it opens the pores allowing the flow of sweat to flush out the toxins from the skin. And since sweat contains salt, a bacteria fighting product, it will help to kill some of the bad bacteria that caused your acne to begin with.
Do I cleanse skin before or after steaming?
To get the most benefit from this method it is best to cleanse both before and after steaming. Cleaning before ensures that the skin is clear of make up and impurities meaning the steam can get straight to work. The steam itself will help in the removal process, but it's always better to give it a good base to work on.
It is also advised to cleanse after using steam for acne because the warm water softens the skin. This means that it's easier to cleanse away dead skin cells and is thus more effective.
How Often Do I Use Steam For Acne?
Steaming should be carried out two or three times a week. If you do it anymore than that your skin will become dry and the body will compensate for this by producing more oil which can clog pores and cause more problems.

How to Treat Acne!
... Answer These Two Questions First For Your Best Chance to Treat Acne!
If only there was a common method on how to treat acne life would be so simple right? As you know that's simply not the case, so we've all got to do a lot of experimentation to find the right treatment for ourselves.Where do you start?
The best place to start is to consider the 2 main questions below. Answering these questions can greatly reduce the amount of experimentation you need to perform in order to find the best treatment.
1. Skin type
Determining what kind of skin type you have will be a big help on how to treat acne problems. If your not sure what type of skin you have, many of the department stores can do a test for you or you can seek a dermatologists opinion.
Skin types can be normal, oily, dry, combination or sensitive. There's a big difference in treating oily skin to treating dry skin, for example, so it really is important to know the skin you're in. Be sure to note whether your skin type changes at different times of the month or year so that you can adapt your regime to suit your skin's condition.
2. Severity
Acne is an umbrella phrase to include all forms of menacing spots. You have blackheads, whiteheads, pus filled pimples and cystic forms of acne which all don't respond to the same treatment.
For mild to moderate problems you might simply need an overnight treatment but for more severe cases you may need a more thorough remedy that may have to be used for several months to see results. Severe forms may even require advanced treatments like laser or photo therapy to treat acne.

Top Acne Products
So if you are trying to choose the best acne treatment it should have the following:
1. Natural ingredients
The best acne creams are those that make use of only natural ingredients or more natural ingredients than man made chemicals. These will provide better skin care and are less likely to cause aggravation and further break outs.
Some acne products are packed with chemicals and overload the skin so it's best to avoid these.
2. Effectiveness
Effectiveness is a difficult criteria to meet because not all treatments will have the same effect for everyone. However there are products that work for most people so a could place to start is the top acne products in the market.
Testimonials also allow you to judge things like how quickly the product starts to show results, how good customer service is and so on.
3. Guarantee
Preferably the acne cream you decide to try should offer a guarantee so that you can try it out risk free. This is especially true for expensive acne treatments.
You don't mind paying higher prices if it works but you don't know if it will work for you until you try it. With a guarantee you can try it safely knowing that you can get your money back and try another product if it doesn't have the doesn't have the desired results.
Taking these factors into consideration 4 acne creams make it into the top recommended list. These are based upon the reviews that we have gathered from users, friends, the internet and the companies themselves.

Looking For a Home Treatment For Acne?
... Here Are 6 Home Treatments to Get You Started!
1. Warm water with salt. Washing your skin with this solution dries up excess oil on your face which could clog pores and cause break outs.
2. Ice. This is used before going to bed to reduce inflammation. The coldness is said to be effective in reducing the swelling and will be more noticeable in the morning rather than taking immediate effect.
3. Egg white. This home treatment for acne is not for everyone but it does act as a good facial mask if you want to give it a go. You simply apply to the skin and let it dry before rinsing with warm water.
4. Vinegar. Many people use the apple cider version of vinegar for a home treatment for acne but you can also use regular vinegar. Use a cotton ball or bud for easy application and dab it on the affected areas. The main reason vinegar is so effective for acne sufferers is that it kills off bacteria, can balance your skin's pH and absorb extra oil on your skin.
5. Aspirins. This involves grinding the aspirins into powder then mixing it with honey and water to make a paste. Apply to the skin and leave it there for half an hour and then rinse with warm water.
6. Yogurt and oatmeal. These products are mixed together to make a paste. It is then left on the skin to dry before removing with warm water. The oatmeal is useful for absorbing excess oil and drawing out impurities so it's an effective home treatment for acne.

5 Things You Can You Do Today Towards Acne Elimination!
If you are suffering from acne then you want to find as much acne elimination advice as possible right? However, until you put that advice to use you won't know whether it will help your acne or not. Here a 5 things you can consider today to start eliminating acne.1 Try drinking more water. I know water seems boring but once you increase your intake it becomes habit and really isn't as bad as you think. Your body is made up of between 55%-78% depending on your body size so it is important. It is recommended that you drink six to eight glasses a day to help your body function properly and stay hydrated.
2 Try not to eat too many foods that contain iodine. You may think iodine is just used in science experiments or in hospitals but it's in some food too. The main reason too much of it can cause acne is that when it enters the body and mixes into the bloodstream, the excess is excreted through the oil glands which can irritate the pores and make you more prone to have an acne breakout.
3 In consideration to iodine again, balanced sea salt is proven to be a substitute for iodized salt and can be a good step towards acne elimination.
4 Ensure that you don't have a food allergy. This could be an allergy that has developed over time or perhaps you've started eating something new and it doesn't agree with you or your skin. Food allergies can be a reason for some severe cases of acne so make sure you give it some consideration.
5 If you have any problems that you put off and assume that they don't have much effect on your body, go get yourself checked out or fix it yourself if you can. For example, problems with digestion can cause acne because the stomach contains too much acid which means your body can't absorb the nutrients you need.

How to Get Rid of Blackheads - Here's How!
Before you can treat the causes you have to know what blackheads are and how they are formed. Blackheads (also known as open comedones) are caused by blocked pores. Although the black appearance is often thought to be dirt, it is actually caused by the air oxidising the sebum (oil) in the blocked pore and the melanin pigment from the dead skin cells.
So the best way to get rid of blackheads is to control the sebum (oil) and remove dead skin cells regularly to prevent them blocking pores. Try to avoid strong products that contain man made ingredients. Since these ingredients aren't natural they can strip the skin of oil, causing it to produce excessive sebum to compensate for the lose of oil which leads to blocked pores.
You can make use if cleansing products that have natural oils, such as jojoba or coconut oil. These oils are similar to the oils our skin produces so they don't block the pores.
It is beneficial to use a gentle exfoliating product every day to remove dead skin cells so they don't block pores. Make sure you don't rub too hard or you could aggravate the skin even more.
Here are product ingredients you should stay clear of:
alcohol
isopropyl mystate
lanolin
sodium lauryl sulphate
sodium laureth sulphate
propylene glycol
mineral oil
parabens
Here's an effective acne blackheads regime.

Acne Treatment - Are You Missing This Essential Ingredient in Your Diet?
Flax falls into the group called essential fatty acids (EFAs). It's great part of an acne treatment , especially for those who suffer from acne due to hormonal fluctuations and imbalance.
Most of us don't have enough EFAs in the foods we consume, I personally was put off by the word "fatty" and assumed it must be bad ... I totally bypassed the word essential!
The main reason it helps hormonal acne is because it reduces the amount of the sex hormone androgens produced. This is the culprit that causes too much sebum to be produced, which clogs the pores and gives us the task of seeking out an acne treatment.
Increasing the amount of EFAs in your diet is also effective as part of your overall acne treatment for more reasons below:
* It makes the immune system stronger which means it can fight off bacteria and infection better.
* Reduces inflammation of your acne.
* Your skin condition and texture will improve.
* It will help your existing acne heal much quicker.
* It reduces the sebaceous glands size which will mean it's less likely to get clogged.
* It helps the skin retain moisture and stay hydrated.
* And for the ladies it can reduce the symptoms of PMT.
Look at just some of the benefits EFAs can bring to your acne treatment. If you haven't tried flax for increasing the amount of essential fatty acids in your diet then give it a go.
Personally, I find flax oil horrible and prefer to use seeds, sprouted flax seeds in particular as part of my acne treatment.
Here's why sprouted flax seed is better as part of an essential fatty acids acne treatment
Easy Oatmeal Home Remedies For Acne!
oatmeal acne treatments.
If you've never experimented with oatmeal for your acne here are just some of the benefits.
First of all, it's a great exfoliant for your skin and we all know how important it is to wash away those dead skin cells and impurities to stop our pores getting clogged. It's great for sensitive skin because its effective enough as a natural exfoliant but it's not too harsh that it will damage or aggravate your skin. This is good news for those with sensitive skin because it doesn't take a lot for a break out to occur.
Oatmeal solutions are also good home remedies for acne because oatmeal is an astringent which helps to draw out oil and impurities from the pores and keep your skin clean and blemish free.
As well as being an effective exfoliant, oatmeal can also be combined with other natural products to make your very own acne clearing face mask.
Just remember to give it a few weeks to see if its helping clear your acne. If you don't see much improvement then you can just stop using it and move on to something else.
Oatmeal is definitely worthwhile experimenting with if you are looking for home remedies for acne. It's a cheap, natural and a very effective exfoliant and even a great ingredient to a homemade face mask.
Here are some of my favourite oatmeal home remedies for acne skin care recipes that you can make at home.

Best Acne Treatments - Do You Need to Moisturise As Part of Your Acne Regime?
I remember when I felt like a rebel one night when I didn't moisturise. I didn't forget ,I just didn't feel like I had to because my skin didn't feel dry or tight after a shower like it sometimes does.
So is moisturising our skin necessary as part of our acne treatments regime even when it doesn't need it?
Reports have suggested that you shouldn't actually moisturise your skin at night. Sounds crazy doesn't it?
It states that your skin needs to regenerate itself, bring oil production into balance and get rid of the build up of impurities. Applying moisturiser at night is said to disrupt the skins job and because it isn't left to work on its own it loses the ability to look after itself.
If you continuously apply moisturiser, your skin signals for the sebaceous glands to reduce the amount of moisture production. This means your skin's natural ability to moisturise decreases, resulting in even drier skin that becomes dependent on moisturizing products just to seem normal.
It has been recommended that applying a toner at night is better than a moisturisation product. Toner is water based and contains healing oils which should balance out oil production.
To be honest, when your searching for the best acne treatments you really need to work with our own skin and do what it asks for. Experiment and see what works for you.
In respect to moisturising I'm happy listening to my skin and giving it what it needs, when it needs it. If it feels dry then I'll help my skin out and moisturise, if it doesn't, I won't.
