Activists

What is the definition of an activist? An activist is somebody who, upon perceiving a problem, actually does something to try to make it better.

Activism is radical only if you consider doing nothing in the midst of a crisis to be normal. Activism is the normal response by people who believe that politics rests with them, and not just a few power elites in public office.

While others merely shrug, activists take the matter into their own hands. They often fail to achieve the change they wish to see, but even when they lose, they have the benefit of knowing that they have not been part of the problem.
