Acupuncture without needles- An alternate way of treating stress, depression, and other anxiety-related illnesses:
Acupuncture therapy offers a non-needle method for patients to experience the benefits of acupuncture. Needle acupuncture is the original microcurrent therapy, as traditional acupuncture needles generate measurable electrical charges when twirled by the doctor's fingers, and needles left in tend to drain excess electrical energy from tense or inflamed tissue. Microcurrent Bio-Therapy (MBT) is an extremely effective therapy that may be used instead of needles to promote healing. Alleviation of pain, inflammation, spasm, restricted range of motion, and tissue damage can be treated at the cellular level. Some of the most enthusiastic advocates of acupuncture without needles, professional athletes and their trainers have maintained that such treatment has significantly shortened time on injury lists.

Cerney, Dr. J.V. Cerney, this book presents acupressure in terms that anyone can understand and use in the privacy of his or her own home. I recommend that you read this book before trying any of the products reviewed on this lens.

Electronic Acupuncture Pen, Easy to Use

Easy to use pen-shaped device

This easy to use pen-shaped device provides electrical stimulation to acupuncture points on the body. It has a built in sensor to find the acupuncture points for you. It detects these points by measuring the skin, and underlying tissue. Once the correct spot is found, it makes an audible tone that varies in frequency when moved across the skin, press the button to start the low intensity electrical current. Hold down the button and the duration will last either 15 or 30 seconds, depending on what you have selected, or just let go for your own control. You can also control the intensity of the stimulation with the slide button, just increase or decrease at your own discretion.

I strongly recommend this. I've owned my Professional Dual Channel Electronic Massager for several years for neck and shoulder aches due to the many hours sitting at my desk in front of a computer.
