Acupuncture
Acupuncture from the latin word "acus" or needle is an ancient Oriental healing technique based on ancient knowledge and Taoist understanding of energy principles and anatomy. they believe that health is determined by a balanced flow of energy called "Qi"(pronounced "chee") as they say which is present in all living organisms. Specifically it is a technique of inserting and manipulating filiform(Miniscule, hair-thin, sterile needles) or specialized needles into acupuncture points on the body(just on the skin) creating a therapeutic effect, correcting and rebalancing by removing the blockage that had caused illness or disease, allowing the flow of energy to move freely which relieves pain, restoring health.Acupuncture theory states that "Qi", the vital life energy circulates in the body along with the fourteen major energy pathways called meridians, each linking to specific internal organs can be stimulated to enhance the flow of qi.There are different types of acupuncture; Japanese, Tibetan, Korean, and the Classical Chinese acupuncture where it originated for over five thousand years ago.
In china they call this method "zhen bian", "chimsul" in Korea and "kampo" in Japan Traditional chinese medicine's acupuncture is well known in asian countries but are practiced and taught throughout the world today.
Cupping To Ease The Pain
Cupping, or fire cupping, is another ancient healing technique of Traditional Chinese Medicine, lesser known form of acupressure. It uses heated cups to create a vacuum suctioning around the area being treated which then draws blood to the capillaries of the body, encouraging the movement of "Qi"(chi) and blood in areas significant to acupuncture. It harmonizes the chi releasing blockages, eliminates toxins, relieving stress improving circulation or bloodflow to local areas of the body (neck, shoulders, upper and lower back, thighs), soothing muscle tension and injuries making you feel like a whole new person.Cupping is recommended where there is body stiffness, muscular pain, and where increased circulation is desired.
Although it may leave ugly suction marks it alleviates pain and is commonly used to treat respiratory ailments such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and even the common cold. Similar to Acupuncture its goal is to restore balance to the chi in the body.
