Acura Tries to Replace the Legend
The Acura CL had the unenviable task of replacing the popular Acura Legend. The CL was first sold in 1996. It would continue to be sold in the United States until 2003, although sales after 2000 slowed to a trickle and the later year models are not very common. These cars started out with a 4 cylinder engine, but some later models had a V6 option. The Acura CL Type-S was a special performance model made in 2003, and it was by far the best performing CL model and also the most expensive today on the used car market. All Acura CL cars seem to have retained some popularity on the import car market, and many aftermarket parts are sold for these cars.
