Listen to the things they have to say, its a perfect way for you to show interest in the things they enjoy. Ask relevant questions to show them that you really are paying attention. You will notice that as you listen and ask good questions, the conversation will go on an on, and you will be able to locate things that you have in common.

Remember that this is a first date, so set your expectations to match that. You are both out there to have fun, and to get to know each other; its not a personal interview for a spouse. Relax and enjoy the time you have together, if its a match then there will be a second date, but dont think about that; just enjoy the moment. If there is a lot of pressure, you wont be able to have a good time and neither will they, so take it easy and just relax.

Most importantly, do your best to be yourself. You dont have to be somebody else, after all, they already said yes to going out with you. Be confident with who you are and treat them as you would treat anyone else, with kindness and respect. Dating doesnt have to be a hard task, but rather an adventure that everyone wants to explore.
