Find A Way To Make Money From Home!

I retired from the legal field and discovered that I was bored. Not a little bored but really bang my head on the wall bored. I needed to find something to do.

I didn't really want to go back into the work force. Good heavens, that is why I took an early retirement for crying out loud! I wanted to work from home. I had a computer, for crying out loud. It should be paying its way!

I felt like I was turning into my cat, sitting and staring at the potted plant expecting it to do something. I knew there had to be something I could do on the internet.

I convinced myself (wrongly, I now know) that I was no good at web design so that was out. Equally wrong I also knew that I couldn't blog. So what was left?

Just Google "work from home" and see what you find. I shocked to see that there was every scam, fly by night opportunity, and crook out for my money just waiting for me to send them my money. What should I do?

I found something! Something legitimate and fun! And believe it or not, writing ad copy is relatively easy.

Or should I say Article Marketing?

Yep. I found it. And I did it before I managed to spend thousands of dollars on the things that didn't work.

Now don't get me wrong, I spent enough on online programs that didn't work that my sweetie was starting to raise his eyebrows. But not enough that I felt totally broke.

I finally found people who knew what they were doing and who were willing to help me put my feet on the path to success. It has since turned into the Freedom Highway!

Without any difficulty, I found that I could actually write ad copy or as some people refer to it "article writing". Whatever it is called, it works.

Or As Some Call It Affiliate Marketing

I sit down and look at an advertiser's website. I then make the simple decision about what would entice me to go to that site and buy, or sign up for their newsletter. I make sure I am an affiliate of theirs so when people visit that advertiser's site from the link in my article, I will actually make money.

I also make sure that the advertiser pays well enough for each person I refer to make it worth my time to advertise for them. Personally, I use the if it doesn't pay me $20 per sign up, or whatever, I don't advertise for them.

UNLESS, see already I am breaking my own rules. If I feel strongly about a product that a website sells, I am very likely to advertise for them.

Some Tips of the Trade

Then I string a few sentences together and walk away from my computer for a couple of minutes. Hey, that cup of coffee needed refilling anyway!

I have to let articles sit and then review them. I just can't correct my own copy when I first write it. But letting it become a little cold in my mind, it is easier to rewrite sections that need it or make grammatical changes.

I then go back to my computer and review what I wrote. If it needs something else, I try other sentences.

If it fine the way it is, I launch it out onto the invisible waves of the internet sea. A couple hours of that and my work day is finished. If it weren't for squidoo.com, Ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com, I would actually have to pay for my advertising.
