AddThis Bookmarks, Tweets, Diggs, Buzz and Links
To get traffic to any Squidoo Lens or any website you need to promote. Web 2.0 sites like Twitter, Reddit, Digg and more are creating great ways for people to share cool things they have found on the Internet. The AddThis makes it simple to add promotion tools. The AddThis button spreads your content across the Web by making it easier for your visitors to bookmark and share it with other people, again... and again... and again. This simple yet powerful button is very easy to install and provides valuable Analytics about the bookmarking and sharing activity of your users. AddThis helps your visitors create a buzz for your site and increase its popularity and ranking.

AddThis is certainly not the only social networking button in town. I like AddThis because it has an HTML only version that works on Squidoo. Most other tools use JavaScript and won't work on Squidoo. Even with AddThis - you have to get a specific type of link which I will show below.
When you use AddThis to add a note to Digg, Yahoo Buzz or any of these services it is a multiple step process
- Click on the AddThis Button
- You will see a menu of sites and you'll pick the one that interests you
- You will then login to that site (or skip this if you are already logged in)
- AddThis will, where possible, fill in some details from the referring site; you add in more details and submit.
So even if you use the links on this page to test and learn - you don't have to Digg or Buzz my site. There are no tricks on this page to get you to highlight my page. (I won't be upset if you do - but you will have 100% control). This lens is to show other lensmasters how to use this.

Do I have to register with AddThis
You can use AddThis without registering. The link is http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php. Just use a text link or a graphic link - anything you want and refer traffic to this site. They will see the BOOKMARK AND SHARE screen shown below.
If you register, you can get analytics on who uses the button/link from your site.
