So what do all those little social media icons stand for? (Share This W-X-Y-Z)

I was wondering one day what all those social media icons stood for and one place to find a bunch together was a utility page called ADD THIS and there is another called SHARE THIS. They both allow the icon bars for convenience to rapidly communicate on several platforms something you have found with your friends and the world in general. Great Marketing Ploys Batman...

So lets look at what some of those icons mean shall we?

Wordpress is a publishing platform and they do love their aesthetics, so I have to agree with crunchbase on this description.

UPDATE I have been diving into word press deeper and will be reporting on it in more depth in a future lens. It is a painful process to start, the interface to me personally was difficult to follow. That said, like anything else if you investigate, click all the wrong buttons and do everything backwards you will figure it out. I will not touch on the fact I did not read the getting started guide. I am now thinking of myself like my husband on Xmas Morning -- I don't need the instructions -- (insert the Toolman Taylor's man grunt here). I did go back after I had frustrated myself thoroughly and read through the help articles. I am happy to report they were helpful. Wordpress is still a very involved process in my mind and with potential.

The company was founded by David Sacks formerly the COO of PayPal. Yammer grew out of the genealogy app Geni as a way for organizations to communicate.

Employees using Yammer can discuss ideas, post news, ask questions, and share links and other information. Yammer also serves as a company directory in which every employee has a profile and as a knowledge base where past conversations can be easily accessed and referenced.

Anyone in a company can start their Yammer network and begin inviting colleagues. The privacy of each network is ensured by limiting access to those with a valid company email address. The basic Yammer service is free. Companies can pay to claim and administer their networks.
