Addams Family Halloween Costumes
Hello and welcome to the Addams Family Halloween Costumes :)
When I asked my friends what type of Halloween costume they would like to wear for the Halloween holiday, I discovered that Gothic black costumes are usually appreciated by the women who I interviewed.
The first person I interviewed was my sister. There is no secret on her Halloween costume: my sister celebrates Halloween each and every day. It's an usual custom and her particularity. She wears only black clothes since twenty years; generally black pull over, t-shirt or blouse and black trousers; sometimes a black skirt.
Her skin is very pale and if per chance the weather is beautiful (it doesn't happen often in our country) and she would be tanned; she applies white powder on her face in order to get it back to white. The lipstick she puts on her lips is dark red or black. She has long black hair.
Sometimes my sister wears white clothes, like a royal widow; which is always a big surprise to her friends and family. My sister is Morticia Addams' clone, double or copy. Her friends call her "Morticia" and my sister's family is often called "The Addams Family". Her husband seems "normal" like Gomez Addams but he enjoys the fact that my sister is a very special person. Fortunately for us, their children do not look like Pugsley and Wednesday Addams and whether they would want to, there's no chance as they're blond!
My sister's family has already decided once for all that here family will represent the Addams family over and over again; whether for Halloween or any other event. In this lens, you will find some homemade Addams Family Halloween costumes examples.

Morticia Addams, the mother
Addams Family Halloween costumes - chapter one
The Addams Family mother is Morticia Addams. In order to create Morticia's costume, you will need some sewing skills.Here are the directions:
- Sew a black lace (15 cm wide) around the neck and wrists of a black long fitted dress.
- Apply white makeup on your face,
- Draw the outline of your eyes with black eyeliner
- Apply black mascara on your eyelashes and black pencil on your eyebrows.
- Put dark red or black lipstick on your lips and black varnish on your nails or paste false black fingernails.
- Dress your head with a black wig.

Addams Family Halloween costumes - chapter three
The Addams Family parents have two children. The first one of them is their daughter, Wednesday. If you want to save a little money on your next Halloween costume buys, you will need a bit of sewing skills in order to make Wednesday Addams' costume at home:- Sew white lace around the neck and wrists of a short black dress with long sleeves
- Put black tights and black shoes
- Apply white makeup on your face
- Highlight your eyes with grey eye shadow and apply light pink lipstick on your lips
- Dress a black wig that you put in two pigtails
A third option is to buy an already made costume.
In any case, don't forget to wear Wednesday's wig!

Addams Family Halloween costumes - chapter five
Another great Addams Family Halloween costume would be Uncle Fester's one. Uncle Fester was originally Gomez' uncle-in-law, who became in the movies, Gomez' brother.
Here's how to make your own Uncle Fester costume:
- Wear a frock (like those of the monks) or a long and large black dress
- Use a piece of rope as the belt
- Apply grey powder to your face and black powder or face painting around your eyes
- Do not forget to hide your hair to add the finishing touches to Uncle Fester's costume :)
Alternatively, if you do not have a frock or a long black dress, you may want to buy a ready-made costume.
