- Coffee in Italian is Caff'e, and may indicate either the Italian way of preparing this beverage at home or espresso, which is prepared instead with electrical steam machines. Notably, a coffee house in Italy is generally termed a bar, and only in some cases a caff'e, as opposed to most other parts of the world, where a coffee house is termed a caf'e.

Italians, and especially Neapolitans, pay special attention to the preparation, the selection of the blends and the use of accessories, all part of a special culture focused on the drink.

Colombian coffee
Colombian Coffee is a protected designation of origin granted by the European Union since September 2007 which means the law ensures that only products genuinely originating in that region are allowed in commerce as such.
In 1927 THE NATIONAL FEDERATION OF COFFEE GROWERS was started to help prosper the Colombian coffee farmers. The Colombian Coffee Federation (FNC) is entirely owned and controlled by Colombia's coffee farmers, of whom there are over 500,000.

Today Colombia produces about 12% of the coffee in the world, second only to Brazil. There are two main regions of coffee production in Colombia: Medillín, Armenia, and Manizales (MAM) in the central region and Bogotá and Bucaramanga in the eastern mountainous region. MAM coffees are known for their heavy body, rich flavor, and fine acidity.
Bogotá is less acidic than Medillín, but retains the richness and brightness. Bucaramanga is milder, often heavier bodied, and rich in flavor reminiscent of Sumatran coffees. I Need Coffee
Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee
From The Carribbean
Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee gets it name from being grown in the blue mountains of Jamaica. This coffee is one of the most expensive coffees I have ever witnesse. Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee is the most sought after coffee in the world. This coffee is certified by the Coffee Industry Board of Jamaica as 100% Pure Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. In addition to its use for brewed coffee, the beans are the flavor base of Tia Maria coffee liqueur.

Blue Mountain Coffee Cultivation
Only coffee grown in the legally defined Blue Mountain range can be certified as Blue Mountain Coffee.
Coffee is collected from farmers only after it is cherry ripe--completely red. The berries are hand picked and floated in water on each farm. The floated berries are then discarded if they have underdeveloped beans or insect damage. Farmers then bring the good coffee to one of over 80 MBCF collection stations where it is floated again to ensure only pre-floated coffee is received into the Factory.
To Read more about the cultivation please click the link at the beginning of this paragraph.
Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee is like I mentioned above one of the most expensive coffees I have seen. At our resort gift shop Blue Mountain coffee was running around $39.00 a pound. I am told there are a large amount of fraudulent blue mountain coffee on the market and if you come across coffee saying it is Blue Mountain coffee and it is priced at around $12.00 a pound then more than likely it is a fake. So be careful and be ready to spend a good deal of money for this brand of coffee.

ESPRESSO, GET YOUR BOOST FOR THE DAY
- ESPRESSO, GET YOUR BOOST FOR THE DAY
- Espresso is a concentrated coffee beverage brewed by forcing very hot water under high pressure through coffee that has been ground to a consistency between extremely fine and powder.

Espresso was developed in Milan, Italy in the early 20th century, but up until the mid-1940s it was a beverage produced solely with steam pressure. As a result of the high-pressure brewing process, all of the flavors and chemicals in a typical cup of coffee are concentrated. For this reason, espresso lends itself to becoming the base for other drinks, such as lattes, cappuccini, macchiato and mochas.

- Foreigners in Guatemala often confuse coffee fruit for cranberries. I did. With its bright red color and grape size, the fruit looks like, well, fruit. Though the bean has become a staple of many Americans' lives -- it's one of the most traded products in the world -- few realize where their daily black drink comes from.

Coffee From Kenya
Great Coffee From Africa
Kenya is the 17th largest producer of coffee in the world. The major coffee growing regions in Kenya are the High Plateau. Kenya has a formal coffee grading system wherein each lot of coffee is cupped for quality and graded according to size (A, AA).The Coffee Board of Kenya strives to make sure that the quality of their beans doesn't suffer by placing strict guidelines and rewards for growing the best possible beans. Although Kenya's great coffees mainly are grown by small-holding farmers organized into cooperatives, Kenya's finest coffees attract substantial premiums.
For some time now the profit for the high priced coffee have not gotten back to the farmers that produce the coffee, this has turned to violence several times. the government stepped in to aid the farmers and it has helped some but not enough. So the coffee industry in Kenya has plummeted. The coffee industry is heading to an open market system which could be good for the growers and pickers to be in open trade but it also can cause corruption to enter in.
But still Kenya has still some of the best coffee in the world and it still can be purchased at most of your favorite coffee houses.
