Addiction Recovery Through Jesus Christ
Welcome to my World. I spent the 1st half of my life being controlled by addictions. Addiction decided when i woke up, when i went to sleep, were i went, how i got there,how long i stayed there, when to bathe, who my friends were and everything else. and i bought into it year after year after year. it destroyed everything and anyone i came in contact with. All I did was exsist to use and use to exsist. When i finally seen the ultimate goal of addiction. It lead me to the point of suicide. But thankfully God Steped into my life and saved me.
With this blog i hope to give what God freely Gave Me to others who have found themselves right were i was. Addiction was just 1 part of my miserable exsistance there is a whole lot of other stuff that needs to be fixed. And i Know that God can fix all of them if i just let him lead me and keep my self out of the equation. Interested ? Please contact me.

What Is Drug Addiction -- What is Drug Addiction?
Drug addiction is a chronic disease affecting the brain, and just about everyone is different. Drugs affect different people in different ways. One person can take and abuse drugs, yet never become addicted, while another merely has one experience and is immediately hooked. Drug addiction is characterized by a person having to use the drug(s) repeatedly, regardless of the damage it does to:
- Their health
- Their family
- Their career
- Their relationships with friends and the community
Addiction is not limited to drugs and alcohol. People can be addicted to many things, such as food, gambling, shopping, or most anything that gets in the way of a healthy lifestyle. When things get out of hand, and people behave compulsively, regardless of the consequences.
When the person is no longer in charge of their life, regardless of the triggering mechanism, they are addicted. The addiction can take over a person's entire life. Nothing else matters.
Is there a cure?
The answer is yes. Addiction is just another way that satan keeps control of our lives. God Promises us when we come to jesus christ his way that he makes us a new creation, the old is dead and the new lives. so it is no longer i but christ who lives in me. It is christ and what he did for us on the cross that takes the desires for what we are addicted to. With christ all things are possible. Of course if i was ever to go back to my drug of choice then i would be worse and futher along in my addiction then whwn i was when i quit the first time for me that would mean death.
but i am so glad that through christ i no longer live by that.

In many countries, suppressed people stay alive by dreaming of one day being free!
i understand.
I honestly admit that during my 16 years of a life controlled by addiction, the one thought uppermost in my mind was being set free from the chains that had locked me down.
I experienced an extraordinary kind of freedom. Even to this day, it is beyond my wildest imagination. I marvel at the awe¬some power of our great God and Father. I praise the Lord for His ability to transform anyone that is willing to obey!
I will never forget April 8, 1992 It was on this day that I was set free, was buried with my Lord in baptism, my sins were washed away', and God added me to His church! So staying in obediance to Gods Will and keeping him 1st in all aspects of our lives is what keeps us free.
