Essential oils for romance
If you're planning a romantic dinner for you and your sweetie, using essential oils can be just the thing you need to add a little romance to your meal. Just one or two drops of the right essential oil can transform just about any dessert recipe into a sense heightening aphrodisiac.
Here are some of my favorite dessert recipes that use those essential oils known to invoke feelings of passion and romance with their erotic taste and scent. You'll also find more ideas so you can incorporate these oils into your very own recipes.
Rose Oil
Easy Chocolate Souffle
Using Rose Oil

- Serves: 4
- Prep Time: 30 minutes
- Total Time: 1 hour
Many people would never even attempt a souffle because they think it's too hard. Although the directions are long, this souffle recipe isn't that difficult. Try it and see for yourself!
Ingredients
- 4 fresh raspberries
- 2 Tbs milk chocolate chips
- melted
- 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 Tbs cornstarch
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- divided
- 2 Tbs butter
- 2 Tbs bread flour
- 3/4 cup cream
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 drops of rose oil
- 4 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chocolate liqueur
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
1. Grease 4 ramekins with butter. Coat each with sugar
2. Place 1 raspberry and a drizzle of chocolate at the bottom of each cup
3. In a large bowl, mix the cocoa powder, cornstarch, and a tablespoon of the sugar. Set aside
4. In a small bowl, mix the butter and flour to form a paste.
5. In a medium bowl, lightly whisk one egg yolk
6. Heat the cream to boiling point in a heavy saucepan; then whisk in the flour-butter mixture until it melts. Gradually pour the hot cream into the whisked egg yolk in a steady stream, whisking constantly.
7. Return the mixture to the saucepan and bring the custard to a simmer over low heat, stirring constantly. Cook and stir the custard until it thickens, about 1 minute. Remove from the heat and stir in 2 drops of rose oil. Set aside (stir occasionally to keep it smooth).
8. Combine the remaining egg yolks with the vanilla, liqueur, and the cocoa mixture. Whisk in the warm custard, cover, and set aside.
9. Whip the egg whites until they are foamy and have quadrupled in volume. Gradually mix in the remaining 3 Tbs of the sugar, whipping until the egg whites are stiff but not dry. Fold 1/3 of the whipped egg whites into the custard to lighten it, using a rubber spatula. Then fold in the remaining whipped egg whites.
10. Immediately transfer the souffle batter into the ramekins. Make a smooth mound slightly above the rim of each ramekin.
11. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the souffles have risen and the edges are set. Serve hot
For a romantic topping to cakes and cupcakes, add 1 drop of rose oil for every one cup of frosting.
For a romantic chocolate mousse, add 1 drop of rose oil for every 2 1/2 cups of mousse.
Add two drops of rose oil to a small card and enclose it in a box of Turkish Delight to infuse each candy with a sweet romantic scent.

Sugar is one of the easiest foods to infuse with a fragrance. Just add 2 drops of ylang-ylang oil to a piece of paper towel and seal it in the canister of sugar for at least 24 hours. This sugared aphrodisiac is perfect for sprinkling on top of the Rose Infused Chocolate Souffle's.

Recipe books using essential oils
One last thing...
These essential oils can be incorporated into just about any recipe, including breads and cake mixes. However, if the oils are used during the cooking stage they lose a great deal of their fragrance and instead, add just a touch of subtle flavoring. If you want a stronger flavor or fragrance, use the oils in the creams and icings you use to top your desserts.
