Can you add Google Analytics to a Squidoo Lens?

No, plain and simple you can't. You can visit the Squidu forum too verify if you'd not believe me on my blue eyes. But there is an alternative.

Of course Squidoo Stats provides a lot of useful statistics like where your visitors come from (traffic sources), how many visitors the lens receives, the rank of the lens within Squidoo, the amount of money the lens has made for you or charity and through which link people leave your lens. (clickouts)

Sometimes we want more info. You might for example want to know from which country your visitors are, or the majority of your visitors are male or female or maybe you are really interested in knowing how long they stay on your page.

With these extended statistics you are able to improve your lens and increase traffic. Google Analytics (GA) offers these kind of statistics but unfortunately you can't implement GA on a Squidoo lens. But the good news is that there are other ways to get more detailed tracking on your Squidoo lens.

Why Web analytics?

On-site web analytics measure a visitor's journey once on your website. This includes its drivers a...

Since Google Analytics uses JavaScript and Squidoo doesn't allow us to use JavaScript on our lenses I have been looking for a non-Javascript tracking code.

Clicky Web Analytics offers a HTML based tracking code you can use on Squidoo. This image based tracking system isn't nearly as detailed as the JavaScript version but offers more features than the Squidoo Stats.

You can sign up at Clicky Web Analytics for free. Their other product; Clicky Web Statistics starts at less than $2 per month. When you register you will get 21 days of FREE premium service so you can try out every feature.

What is Google Analytics?

Google Analytics (GA) is a free service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about the visitors to a website. Its main highlight is that the product is aimed at marketers as opposed to webmasters and technologists from which the industry of web analytics originally grew. It is the most widely used website statistics service, currently in use at around 40% of the 10,000 most popular websites.BackendBattles - Statistics Backends

If the bounce rate for a page is 100%, that means each person who entered the site on that page viewed that page only, then left the site.
