Since 1999, Atelier Design Group has been overseeing the brand design and positioning of Richmond Events marketing collateral including brand identity, sales materials, catalogs, advertising, events trailers, and conference stage set design. Over the years they have helped the client position itself as the largest gathering of senior-level executives in the United States.

Morgan Lofts is a new luxury condominium conversion in the heart of NYC. Atelier Design Group worked in collaboration with the The Bobker Group, The Corcoran Group, Andrés Escobar Design, and Steven Kratchman Architects to produce a brand design and positioning strategy for this unique 70 unit mid-town development. The results are a fabulous barrage of brand identity, sales collateral, website design and large-scale graphics.

Brandon Michael is a striking new collection of men's jewelry created by the Clover Corporation, an affiliate of Fabrikant. Like the jewelry, the marketing design was created to be powerful, luxurious, and bold, offering a fresh approach in men's fashion arena. Atelier Design Group was contracted to build a brand for this luxury jewelry line. The marketing design consisted of photography, insert card, a 48-page catalog, in-store displays and graphics, and sales and trade show presentations. The Brandon Michael collection debuted at G.L.D.A.'s 8th Annual Las Vegas Gem & Jewelry Show in May 2006, and has been successfully distributed on the U.S and U.K. markets.

Husband and wife team Jef Kalil and Steffi Waltinger-Kalil combine over 25 years of experience in finding marketing clarity amid today's corporate clutter. Along with a veteran lineup of art and creative directors, graphic and web designers, copywriters, and editors, Atelier incorporates the best of contemporary European and American sensibilities in pursuit of a powerful, sophisticated product. A product that gets great results.

The whimsical. The colorful. The theatrical. These are among the many elements that Steffi Waltinger-Kalil brings to the Atelier team. A lifelong student of fine design, she grew up in Jena, Germany, and went on to study graphic design in Dessau at the renowned Bauhaus design college, home of Walter Gropius, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Paul Klee, and Wassily Kandinsky. Soon, Waltinger-Kalil was creating marketing materials for the Bauhaus Foundation, the school's sister organization.

By the time she earned her degree in 1998, she already had established a stable of clients. She had also collaborated on numerous projects with her future husband Jef Kalil. A year later, the couple moved to New York to launch Atelier and start a family. Since that time, the company has evolved from a creative two-person design boutique into the innovative multimedia branding company you are reading about right now. As for the family-their son Marlo was born in 2005.

A strong design sensibility. A flair for creative ideas. A passion for solving complex problems. These are the talents Jef Kalil brings to the Atelier table-talents he first honed while studying architecture at the NAAB-accredited Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. After earning his degree in 1993, he spent the next six years working in former East Germany, then at the height of a cultural renaissance thanks to unification. While there, he worked for Fischer Architects and the international team responsible for the innovative design and construction of the Kiez e.V. art and culture center in Dessau. Subsequently he served on the board of directors for the center and directed its art and design department.

During this transformative period, Kalil also taught design and architecture workshops at the renowned Bauhaus Dessau Foundation. In 1995, he met and began collaborating with his future wife and design partner, Steffi Waltinger. The duo relocated to New York in 1998 and founded their own firm. Atelier Design Group has worked with such companies as Van Cleef & Arpels, the Christopher Reeve Foundation, and the Corcoran Group. Jef and Steffi live in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York with their son Marlo, who was born in 2005.
