Adidas Barricade 6.0 Tennis Shoes

There are TONS of tennis shoe brands, so why would I make an entire web page for just one pair? The answer is simple, I truly think these are the best tennis shoes you can buy and want to share my positive experience with them. I've tried Nike, Prince, K-Swiss, Babolat--you name it. None of these brands have been able to come close to the overall quality that Adidas has captured in their 6.0 model. Let's talk about a few of the different things this shoe excels at.

Durability, durability, durability.

This has always been the strongest aspect of Adidas shoes. The material surrounding the shoe is solid all the way around. Take a pair of Nike shoes and you'll wear a hole through the toe area in a few weeks--these won't even show a scratch. The consistent construction quality can be seen on any part of the shoe, especially problem spots like: outsole, toe (bottom, side, front). I've had my fair share of random holes appearing in my tennis shoes due to weird dragging, but not in these. I've never seen a more durable pair of shoes.

Comfort

The Barricade 5 was a success, but complaints about it's weight were heard loud and clear by Adidas. They've tried to slim this model down about, but it still isn't light. This detracts slightly from the overall comfort, however, the plush interior and well-cushioned midsole are amazing. I dare you to find a competitive tennis shoe that feels this soft when you put it on. Or you can save yourself some time and not bother looking because there isn't one.

Support, stability, torsion claws

Take a good look at the "claws" that decorate the side of the Barricades. They aren't purely cosmetic. These strong bars strengthen the outside of the shoe and help keep the foot stable and right where it needs to be. You don't need to doubt your footing when wearing the 6.0's. They've been continuously reviewed as the best in terms of stability. As for the name claws, it's quite fitting. Adidas has recently released a dragon version of this model--a dragon with claws!

The shoes come in all shapes and colors. I'm sporting the black and white ones currently, but I wouldn't mind going for the white and blue pattern. Pick up the 6-month durability guarantee when you buy the Adidas Barricade 6.0 and your tennis footwear problems are over.

Djokovic seems to like the plain old black and white with the silver torsion claws. I must say though that it looks quite good with this shoe design. Some of the other color mixtures look a bit strange.

Murray is (will be for awhile I guess?) wearing the new released Dragon Edition which is some mixture of silver, black, and red. What exactly is the significance of the dragon for Murray? I'd say maybe it has something to do with the Asian swing portion of the tour, but that's just a guess.
