The Adirondacks is Beautiful country.
I live at the base of the Adirondacks mountains it is a beautiful area. Be sure to check out Saratoga also.
A trip to The Saratoga battlefield is a great way to teach the kids about our countries history.
The battlefield is a registered historic landmark. Decades ago I used to travel the field daily as a shortcut for work, On Friday nights I would hang out for a few there is a Farmhouse (bemis heights) where a major battle took place. It was nice back then you could travel for free in the park and the police were cool. Great place to visit just make sure you pay your respects at night.

Hi steveffeo, Thanks for mentioning my lens in your favorites. I grew up just inside the Adirondack Park, east of Plattsburgh. Aahhh the biting flies in the summer and the biting cold in the winter, truly fond memories. I sincerely hope to get to spend more time there in the future. Posted January 03, 2008 |

Lake after a storm in the Adirondacks - where is this?
A beautiful lake with old growth forest, accessible by foot only, in a remote area of the Adirondacks. Sorry if the camera shakes at one point, mosquitoes were fierce and hungry!!! Can anyone tell me where this is?
