With a VENSTAR Thermostat Controller and VENSTAR Programmable Thermostats, you can:

  1. Control your thermostat remotely using your touch-tone phone or cell phone,
  2. Adjust temperature of 1 to 4 thermostats using touchtone buttons or voice recognition,
  3. Monitor the temperature inside and outside (with separate sensor) your home over the phone, and
  4. Connect to a powerline interface to adjust a home automation component--for example, lights--remotely.

The VENSTAR Thermostat Controller package includes a telephone module (below, left) and one receiver module (below, right) that you plug into a VENSTAR Programmable Thermostat (purchased separately).

Here's how it works

  • If you use a Venstar or Totaline programmable thermostat, you can monitor and control the temperature in your home remotely via telephone to make sure you come home to a comfortable house.
  • The Thermostat Telephone Controller connects to your phone line, and when you call in from any remote phone or cell phone, you can use touchtone buttons or voice commands to check the temperature or adjust settings.
  • The included RF receiver snaps into the RJ-11 port of the 1-Day Programmable Digital Thermostat, 7-day Programmable Digital Thermostat, or 7-Day Programmable Thermostat, Dual Fuel.
  • The controller will accommodate up to four thermostats, so additional RF receivers are available, sold separately.

Not only can you can access this thermostat by telephone and adjust its temperature setting, you can also program it to turn on automatically only at specific times of the day.

The thermostat works with heat/cool and heat pump systems.

For added convenience, accessories are available including a programming device and a wireless remote control (separate purchases).

Here's how it works:

  • Save energy by running your heater and air conditioning only when you're at home.
  • The 1-Day Programmable Digital Thermostat allows you to program the heater to turn on half an hour before you normally arrive home or run the air conditioning only when necessary to keep the pets cool while you're at work.
  • Compatible with both heat/cool and heat pump systems, the 1-Day Programmable Digital Thermostat will control up to two heat stages as well as one cool stage.

Use this hard-wired sensor with a compatible Venstar thermostat to report outdoor temperature.

Here's how it works:

  • The VENSTAR Indoor/Outdoor Remote Temperature sensor can be used outdoors or indoors.
  • When used outdoors, the wired sensor allows the outdoor air temperature to be sent to the thermostat and display the high and low outdoor air readouts for the day.
  • The Venstar Indoor/Outdoor Remote Temperature Sensor measures indoor or outdoor air temperature with a range of -40° F to 127° F.
The sensor receives power and communicates via cable connection, sold separately. If you prefer, a wireless sensor is also available.
