Adobong Pusit Recipe
Easy way to make Filipino style squid adobo

- Serves: 3-4
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 lbs squid
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 onion
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/8 cup vinegar
- 1/8 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 green chili (optional)
Instructions
Clean and wash the squid. Cut it into ring as desired. You can use smaller squid and do not need to cut it. Save the ink.
Finely chop the garlic, onion and green chili.
In a saute pan heat a tablespoon of oil over medium high heat. Stir fry onion and garlic until fragrant and translucent. Then add squid, stir fry it for about 2-3 minutes. Add ink, soy sauce, vinegar, bay leaves and green chili. Season with salt and pepper. Cook on a medium-high heat for few minutes until the squid turns opaque.
Serve with steamed rice.
Do not overcook the pusit (squid) or you will get rubbery squid.
