Adoption Brings LOVE

Throughout our lives, we are all graced by many wonderful things. Recently my family and I were touched by a brand new blessing through the adoption of a little girl. After five long years of waiting to adopt a little girl, my husband and I finally adopted our 12 month old baby girl from China!

The love that has blossomed in my family due to this adoption is very touching. Our new daughter Lily came home to her forever family in March of 2011 to join my husband and I and our two biological boys, then ages 10 and 12. I have watched my husband's transition from being a father to two busy boys, to now also parenting a baby girl. The love in his eyes when he looks at her is touching and special. The joy that is evident as she runs across the house yelling "Daaaaaaddddddddyyyyyyyyy" when he walks through the door is just as special. Furthermore, our two boys have shown compassion, acceptance, and genuine love to their little sister. Seeing the softer side of the boys really is a special gift and one that I will always treasure.

Each child is special and holds an exceptional place in our family and each day I smile every time I look at them, especially when all three are together and laughing.

Inspired by my three children, I wanted to focus on designing quality and heartfelt gifts with adoption and love themes. Many lives are positively touched by adoption and I hope that these specially designed adoption gifts will pay tribute to the special children, and adoptive parents, in our lives.

My love of gardening and flowers (and my three children!) inspired me to share our story of adoption in a newly published children's story. The Forever Garden is a cheerfully designed children's book set in the garden. The Forever Garden was written with for adopted children in mind and their older siblings. This adoption story has a moving but simple message which is that each and every child holds a special place in a family. Although this adoption story was written for adopted children and their older siblings, it is appropriate for any family that is interested in sharing a story of inclusion and love.
